"You mean to tell me you've never been to Disneyland? In your twenty-six years of existence, you've yet to visit 'The Most Magical Place on Earth'? Not even once? In your entire life?" Ulrich chuckles, shaking his head again for the fifth time that day and Yumi just scoffs, completely puzzled and looking over her husband with a stern gaze. "Yeah, no, this doesn't work for me. I refuse to be married to a man who hasn't set foot in a Disney park. We're fixing this. Now."
Ulrich opens his mouth to protest, wanting to let Yumi know that it really wasn't a big deal, that she shouldn't concern herself with silly things, that Yumi had more important things to handle like their family or their jobs or practically the other million or so things Ulrich could've suggested other than forcing him to go to Disneyland. But, his wife gives him that look, that infamous 'I will not hesitate to beat you beyond recognition if you keep at this' look Ulrich had come to know after six years of marriage, which instantly shuts him up.
"Naomi, Alex, we're gonna take you guys to Disneyland, is that okay?" From all the way down the hall, there is a loud squeal and Ulrich's not sure if that was Naomi, Alex or maybe both of them. He immediately sighs and collapsed onto the couch in defeat. As always, Yumi wins yet another battle in the war they call marriage.
"In fact, let's just invite everyone. I'm sure Odd won't mind taking a few days off right before his first concert anyway. Jeremie will complain, but seriously, it's Jeremie and if he doesn't make some completely insane mathematical assumption about why we shouldn't be going, we should worry. Besides, I think we all need a little pick me up. We're letting this 'adult life' thing get to our heads, we need a little more fun every now and then." Ulrich is quite surprised to hear that from her of all people, but as she sits there, looking off into the distance probably contemplating where to meet up and how long the drive would be, or maybe how long it will take to persuade everyone to pack up and make proper arrangements...He knew he had fallen in love with the right girl.
He is still sitting comfortably on the couch, giving up on arguing but observing Yumi lounging on the other end.
"Except William. He's been getting on my nerves and I've lost enough sleep over his constant whining. He can walk there for all I care."
The brunette just smirks and makes a move to get off the couch and Yumi tackles him, grinning in victory. "Looks like we're going to Disneyland." She whispers, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. They giggle like idiots and Naomi warns them to keep it down so that she can concentrate on what outfits to bring, wanting to impress her favorite princesses. There's a brief moment of 'aren't we suppose to be the ones saying that' between the two parents.
"What did you say about letting the 'adult life' get to our heads?" To say Ulrich was excited was an understatement.
