As you can see this is our sort of guide to all the things that happen in HTS kinda like our own version of the World of Remnant videos, most of the chapters is told by Ozpin but other characters might appear to talk about other topics if it isn't Ozpin, the character's name will appear at the beginning of the chapter, enjoy!

Grimm Shifters or creatures like them have appeared in history as creatures worse than the Grimm, as one moment they look like another human or Faunus, but the next, they turn into horrific beasts capable of so much more than a normal Grimm as they learn much quicker than a normal wild Grimm. However, despite all of the stories and myths behind them, very few Grimm shifters actually make it in life.

After a Grimm Shifter learns of the power they wield they are constantly bombarded with conflicting thoughts as their human side tries to fight the Grimm side into submission. Many young Grimm Shifters either fall to their Grimm instincts and become a pawn of Salem or take it upon themselves to stop the beast from taking control.

Grimm shifters fall into two types so that they can easily be distinguished from one another.

Type one Grimm shifters have perfect control over their Grimm instincts, a good example is a previous student of mine, Silver Charcoal. From her history it's not surprise that Salem had taken an interest in her, at Beacon she bottled up her negative emotions to the point where she would explode and try to kill anything that got on the wrong side of her, from a young age she hated humanity, blaming all humans for the death of her parents. From the age of seven Silver knew that the world was kill or be killed. She showed no mercy to the men who started her transformation into the beast people see her as today.

Grimm shifters constantly evolve as time rolls on however, for type 1s it is a lot harder, they have to slay other Grimm shifters in order to steal a trait from their fallen foe's Grimm side. For type 2s they would just have to kill a certain amount of wild Grimm to gain a trait from them.

Type 2s are also the more dangerous ones, as stated before they are pawns of Salem and she rarely lets her strongest out of sight. As told to me by Jet and his sister Sky that the first Grimm shifter a gargantuan beast only known as Millennium had destroyed their home and that a second beast Sky had taken to calling Agari was last seen quite close to the borders of Vale. The only evidence of the creature existing however is the weapon Sky had made from the beast's severed tail.

Despite everything she has been through, Silver is the only Grimm Shifter I've ever seen pull herself free of Salem's control, the girl has more willpower than I gave her credit for, maybe that beastly strength she parades is just a cover story for something much more powerful, she has definitely changed since we first met she no longer has this god like aura floating about her, she has lost some power, I doubt her team have realised this but she's not the girl I met unless... no that's impossible ever for me and Salem... I hope that whatever it is, isn't a malicious force.
