-1Disclaimer: Not mine, of course!
A/N: Just a silly little Rose/Scorpius fic, simply because I can! Oh, and notice that I didn't mention their house, because I couldn't decide between Gryffindor and Slytherin! Anyway, yes, very fluffy, and partially written because Pride and Prejudice is my favourite book, too.
'Ro-sie!' Scorpius called her name from beside her, his voice teasing.
'Scorpius Malfoy, don't you sing my name at me when I'm trying to read!' Rose snapped back. Scorpius just smiled, he knew not to interrupt her when she was reading. He did it to make her angry. She looked kind of cute angry.
Rose Weasley was just like her parents. She had out of control Weasley-red hair, her father's blue eyes and her mother's elfin face. She could always be found on her Firebolt 300, practising Quidditch with Albus, Scorpius and the others members of the team, or curled up in the corner of the common room in one of the oversized armchairs, reading.
Currently, she was trying to read, much to the dismay of Scorpius. He reached over and twirled a strand of her hair in his fingers.
'Scorpius! You know I love you, but for Merlin's sake, go and find Albus, and annoy him instead!' Rose said, her defences weakening.
'No, he's being an arse because Sandrine Jordan turned him down again,' Scorpius told her, grinning slightly.
'Bloody hell!' Rose exclaimed, shutting her book, 'Again? How many times is that?'
'I've lost count,' Scorpius replied, 'But I'm guessing it's not going to be the last time.'
Both of them laughed at this. Albus had been trying to get Sandrine Jordan to go out with him since third year. They were now at the beginning of their seventh.
'Actually,' Scorpius said, 'I think he's going to talk to her about why she keeps turning him down.'
'I could tell him why she keeps turning him down!' Rose smiled slightly at the thought.
'Because he acts like an idiot around her!' They said together, laughing again.
Rose shook her head and opened her book again.
'No! Rose! Lets talk some more!' Scorpius said, playing with her hair again.
'Scorpius! I cant, I want to finish my book!' Rose replied half-heartedly looking up at him.
Scorpius pulled the book out of her hands and looked at the cover in disbelief. 'Pride and Prejudice? Again? Rosie, you must've read it more times than I've read your diary!'
'Scorpius!', She shouted at him.
'Joking, joking!' He laughed at her again.
'I haven't read it that many times, and besides, its my favourite.' Rose said indignantly.
'Why? Why do you like it so much?' Scorpius asked, not giving her the book back.
'Because it's magical! Don't look at me like that, I don't mean magic like us, I mean it's lovely and the characters are wonderful, and Jane Austen writes so brilliantly. And then, of course, Mr Darcy is perfect too.' Rose said, dreamily.
Scorpius blinked in shock. 'Why do you want to read about the perfect man, when you have him sitting right here?' he smirked at her, leaning in for a kiss.
And Rose had to admit, he did have a very valid point.
