"I Loved her first, I held her in my arms before you ever did."
Remy said to Rogues new husband. "I still love her, death or not."
Rogues new husband remains unimpressed. He's tried to forget She was married, that her self wasn't his. Most likely to forget that Death has tasted the sweetness of his beloved neck and lived. Sort of. Something he had hoped that his and his mutant ability alone afforded.
"I know you can kill, Remy, And I know what you've become, but we all know that you can't kill me." The man smugly said as he sipped his beer. "Quite frankly, I don't know why the X-Men ever let you back."
"Because they need me, and don't trust you." The half dead Cajun rolled off his nearly empty tongue as he puffed his clove cigarette, The aromatic smoke wafting in the late summer breeze. "Not after what you did to her. Another woman? Anyone who had Rogue would never let her go."
"You did." The man as arrogant as ever spilled out as smooth as the smoke coming from Remy's red hot cherry." Does it bug you? That I can have her whenever I want? I can caress her, touch her, love her? You had to get inhibiters, chemicals and other people to even taste her sweet breath" The man drank again. "It's cheap to me."
"Don't you ever say that about my sweet Rogue again, or I will find a way to leak your blood from that worthless body" Remy coldly threatened. "It will taste as good as a cordial cherry popping in between my teeth and feel as sweet as the sticky liquid running down my chin and pooling in the cup of my hand."
"Like you killed Logan and Storm? I heard about that. Good work." He let loose from his thin, little lips. "Besides, how you going to do that anyway? You can't touch me and you grow weak. You still need an heir, and the pleasure that creating one brings. I'd like a piece of that."
"Leave that one alone. She's mine and you took the only one I ever really loved away from me." Remy warned. "An just so you know, I'd give all that up for Rogue. I'd die again for her."
" So do it. She don't need you to save her from me. She's a big girl" He coyly put. "Besides, I can have anybody I want and I choose the one body you can't. Maybe I'll take you're one chance to be human again too."
"You smug bastard! And how do you think to do that? Rogue may be blinded by lust, but that other one is pure emotion, she'll tear you up alive. In case you forgot, she's closer to what I am than to what you are." Remy sat back as he finished the rest of his smoke. "You'd loose. Maybe I get Rogue back. Why don't you go for it. You married Rogue, but I own Red, you want to make life or what this is bad for me, just wait till you see what I'm gonna do to you now."
And with that, Remy is gone and the man sits still, dumbfounded and speechless. The perfume of the cigarette still lingers in the air and the man knows now that what he did to Rogue may well be his last sin and he may be living in his last days.
End.
