Harry looked around nervously trying to pick which girl to take to the yule ball. While he was searching he saw a girl, Ginny, he was friends with her and when Harry looked directly at her she blushed and continued what she was doing. Ginny did exactly this when Harry looked her way. "Okay Harry you can do this it's just talking to one of your friends okay Harry breathe" Harry whispered to himself. Harry walked her way Ginny shooed her friends away and pretended not to notice that Harry was walking toward her "Hey Ginny can I ask you something?" Harry choked out to her. "Sure Harry what's up?" Ginny said putting down her quill her eyes shining bright with curiosity. "Well um… willyougototheyuleballwithme ?" Harry said much too quickly. "I'm sorry I couldn't quite get that" Ginny said politely. Harry took a deep breath "Ginny would you like to go to the yule ball with me?" Harry said much more clearly. Ginny eyes widened her mouth almost completely open she managed to compose herself before she answered "HARRY POTTER ASKED ME TO THE YULE BALL" Ginny screamed with happiness in her mind (of course.) "I would love to" Ginny said so only Harry could hear. "Okay great" Harry said back to her "Just to let you know Ginny whatever you wear you will look beautiful as always" Harry whispered to her he kissed her cheek and walked off towards the boy's dorm. He always had a bit of a crush on her anyway. Ginny stood there in shock "Harry asked me to the yule ball; Harry said I was beautiful and Harry kissed my cheek" she thought to herself as the thoughts whirled around her mind. As Harry laid on his bed he thought about what just happened but then a thought emerged in his mind "RON!" Just then Ron walked through the door "Hey Harry found a date yet?" Ron asked glumly "I have to tell him..." Harry thought "Well yeah actually" he replied casually "Really who?" Ron asked the curiosity in his eyes "ermm well I'm err going with umm Ginny" Harry said the word 'Ginny' barely audible. "So what you're saying is that you're going to the YULE BALL WITH MY LITTLE SISTER" Ron yelled at Harry "umm yes?" Harry said just as Ron walked out and slammed the door behind him. Ginny was in a daze just as Ron came storming down the steps "Ginny can I talk to you for a second" Ron spat in her face "Sure thing" Ginny said casually *In an abandoned classroom* "What did you want to talk about Ron?" Ginny asked her brother "Oh gee I don't know how about you going to the Yule ball with my BEST FRIEND!" Ron said his sarcasm turning into anger. "Okay Ron calm down okay breathe he asked me and I said yes okay you need to relax" Ginny said soothingly "RELAX YOU EXPECT ME TO RELAX HE'S MY BEST FRIEND AND YOU'RE MY SISTER DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND" Ron screamed to Ginny "I don't care Ronald I'm still going with him" she said as she left the classroom.
