Disclaimer: If I were Robert Jordan I wouldn't be here!
It's true that Accepted of the White Tower may be called away at any time for their testing. In fact one of them, Elaida do'Avriny a'Roihan was called away while was teaching five novices about the Prophecy of the Dragon.
The Novices however were not too have their education disrupted by this event. No, they were told to continue reading and summarize the material for their lesson tomorrow.
Quickly bored by the cryptic material and with no one to supervise her Myrelle soon spoke up, "Can you imagine if the Dragon were to be reborn in our time?"
"He would need to be protected from the time he was a bay," spoke up Siuan and they could all see her brain working to figure out exactly how she would protect the the Dragon Reborn. "Kept safe from Darkfriends and … others who would see harm done to him…" She trailed off and her eyes went to the door Elaida had recently exited.
"He would need to be taught and trained by sisters," Moiraine chimed in, adding to what her friend had said. "Not only about the One Power, but history, politics, strategy – everything a king would need to know. And he would need to be guided by sisters as he went about combating the Dark One so he made all the right decisions."
"You make it sound terribly boring," complained Ellyd as the began to comb her long golden hair.
"Well how do you see it then?" asked Siuan.
"I see the dragon proclaiming himself boldly, surprising even Aes Sedai, and with nothing but his own instinct to guide him, becoming victorious over all."
"Oh come on," snorted Siuan, "That is far too much like some gleeman's tale. He'll need sisters to guide him."
"I agree he'll need guidance," spoke up Alanna, "but of a different sort."
"As in?" asked Myrelle.
"As in I'm going to bond him as my Warder," the Arafellen girl asserted. "one of them anyway. I'm going to be a Green you know." Evryone did, but she mentioned it several times a day anyway.
"What if he doesn't want to be your Warder?" asked Moiraine.
"I'll bond him anyway," Alanna replied setting her chin proudly.
"You can't do that!" exclaimed Siuan, shocked by the breach in custom.
"I can and I will and then he'll fall in love with me," replied Alanna.
"What if he's terribly ugly," asked Myrelle.
"He won't be." Alanna asserted. "He'll be the son of a king and thus have very well turned ankles.
Siuan snorted again, "He can't be a king's son. He has to have good strong peasant blood in him. Nobles are all boneless jellyfish."
Moiraine raised her eyebrows.
"Present company excluded, of course.
"Well, he'll be a borderlander for certain," Alanna rebounded. "That's where he'll best learn to fight shadowspawn and the Dark One"
"But if he were Cairhien he could learn all about political maneuvering," pointed out Moiraine, displaying her nobles pride in her homeland.
Before Moiraine and Alanna's individual pride in their homelands could get them into a fight Myrelle intervened, "However it is very doubtful that the Dragon will be reborn in our lifetimes any way."
"Yes," agreed Siuan "in fact it's about as likely as-" hereyes scanned the room for an apt metaphor and lighted on the Cairhien girl "-Moiraine falling in love with a gleeman"
A/N: Loved it? Hated it? It's my first post so I guess you've a right to do either. If the characters eemed a little AU remember they're a bit younger tan we've seen them in RJ's work.
