Beca was relieved that the Bella girls didn't stay for too long after she returned from the police station. It had been a long night, and the freshman just wanted it to be over. Sure, the Bardon Bellas had made it to the next accepella competition, but everything else had just gone horribly wrong. First, some geriatric psychopath had tried to fight with Jesse. Her best friend didn't looked too freaked out by the whole situation, so Beca stepped in and knocked the old man to the ground. The look on Jesse's face after that was crushing; instead of looking happy, proud, or thankful like she had expected, he wore an almost disappointing expression…like he couldn't believe she had just hit someone. She was just trying to help….

From there it got a little more out of hand. There was more fighting, some glass shattering, and somehow Beca found herself cuffed and in a police car…. she was just that awesome. However, Jesse had showed up, even after the disappointing look she had received earlier. Just as things looked ok again, it gets a million times worse. Her best friend had called her dad, worst possible option ever. Now she doesn't get to go to LA next year and she had to stay in college instead of living out her dreams. ~but Hey! He was just 'trying to help'~ Beca was protecting Jesse when she was helping, no harm done there. However, he had just basically ruined her whole life! Now, Jess hadn't appreciated her help, but he expected her to be happy after all of this? That is not how these things worked.

Now the freshman was in her dorm room, in a pair of sweat pants and a baggy old paint shirt, blasting her music. Beca's mind was scattered, and she couldn't help but cry (although she will never admit it). Her life was ruined, it was Jesse's fault and she was still so angry about that; but what she couldn't figure out, is why it hurt worse thinking that she might never speak to her best friend again…it was worse than her life long dreams being crushed.
