Percy Jackson: The Face-Off
Disclaimer: Listen once and listen well, I don't own any of these. Kapeesh?
Prologue
Gaea's evil laughter echoed in my ears as I was knocked to the ground. "Hm, I thought you would be more of a challenge than the rest." She glanced distastefully at the other gods and demigods lying, unconscious and dirt encased, on the ground. Percy looked up from where he was kneeling beside Annabeth. "Get away from him, you witch!" He charged, before I could stop him, pulling out Riptide as he did so. Gaea watched Percy, who was fast approaching, with humor dancing in her open eyes. "Son of Poseidon, do you honestly think that you can do better than your pathetic father over here?" A wickedly sharp icicle whizzed past only inches away from implanting itself on Mother Earth's face. She snarled. "If that is how you like it." She turned around briefly and pointed at me, muttering a string of ancient words under his breath. All of a sudden, strings of earth erupted from the ground and wrapped themselves around me, draining me of my energy. She smirked, satisfied, and whirled back around to face off with my son.
