My name is Danzō Shimura and if you are reading this, then I am dead. I have made provisions so that the following documents will be unlocked in the case of my demise. The story of my life has been sealed within. I am not so selfish as to leave these in a last attempt for recognition, but for the education of the future. I have made many mistakes and done countless horrible things, and I know that some, if not most, of my fellow ninja may not understand why I have done them. I can only hope that they take what I have sacrificed my life to create and learn from my failings so that they may protect our glorious Konoha. May Kami have mercy upon my soul.
