Summary: Drabble, Abby/Ducky.
"Watch out!" yelled Abby. "Ogre at 5 o'clock!"
Confused, Ducky looked around Abby's living room, forgetting that his character needed to look, not himself! "I don't see it," he mumbled.
"Turn the prince around!" she shouted, grabbing his console. Just as the prince turned, the ogre chopped his head off. "Aw, sorry Ducky."
"I'm just not used to living electronically," he joked.
"You'll get the hang of it. Well, if you want to," she added.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean, if you still want to play."
He turned towards her. "Abby, there are very few things you could ask of me that I would refuse."
"Um…" She had no idea how to respond to that statement.
"So I would definitely like to play."
"Great! Let's try again."
The next time the prince met the ogre, Ducky successfully avoided losing his head, and they reached the next level. Abby saved the game, then raised her hands for a "high-five". "Great job!"
Ducky met her hands with his own, then leaned over to kiss her forehead – his own way of celebrating.
He miscalculated a bit, forgetting that she was taller than him, even sitting down, so the kiss landed on her cheek instead. In the next chaotic moment, he found her lips and kissed her gently.
Abby was taken completely off guard. She made a little yelping sound, then threw her arms around him, pressing him backwards against the couch.
Ducky thought he should probably stop this. In fact, he knew he should stop this. But he didn't want to, maybe he couldn't even if he tried. She seemed truly eager, moving as if she had planned it all out and had just been waiting for the right time.
"Abby," he murmured. "Slow down," he managed to say against her cheek.
She let go and sat up a bit. "I'm sorry, Ducky."
Ducky could tell from her expression that she was not in the least sorry. He had to smile.
"My dear Abigail, would you like to know what a niblick really is?"
She grinned back. "You bet, Ducky!"
He pulled her towards him, trying to look solemn but failing utterly. "Well then, my lotus blossom, I shall have to show you."
