I felt Hermione lightly hold her arms around my torso. I was flying as fast as I could, avoiding objects crashing down and the hell that was just created. I felt something hit me but I ignored it. Now wasn't a time to lose focus. We got through the door just as a huge explosion went off behind us. I felt a huge loss of strength and fell off the broom before I could land it. Hermione and I were knocked of the broom and went tumbling a few meters. I felt pain everywhere. It was like my insides were throbbing.

"What was that?" Hermione said.

I stood up brushing off her comment. As soon as I got up, my legs gave out and I fell to the ground again.

"Charlotte!" I heard Harry scream from a small distance away. "What's wrong?" He ran up to me but I couldn't see what was going on in the corridor.

"I'm-m fi-fine," I shuddered and couldn't catch my breath, "It's just from the fall I think."

"It got you didn't it? This is bad Harry." Hermione seemed annoyed at me for getting hurt but concern was growing in her stern voice. I tried to talk but it just came out as unidentifiable murmurs. Harry kneeled down and propped me onto my back, supporting the top of my back and head up.

"I'm sorry-" I started but Harry cut me off.

"No Lottie, no!"

"I love you all so much. You're my best friends. I love you Harry, I love you Ron, and Hermione I love you too." Hermione began to get teary eyed and knelt beside me with Ron.

"Promise me when it's all over, that you'll move on with the rest of the world. Don't let me hold you back." I knew it was the end, so to hell with it all. I'll be sappy on the end if I want to.

"Good-bye..." I sighed out the last part of the word as I felt my breathing slow and my vision started to fade out.

Charlotte Parker Atwood was not the most beautiful girl in the world- with her curly brown hair, small spray of light freckles across her nose and cheeks, and large piercing blue eyes, but she was not by any means ugly either.

Charlotte didn't have the happiest childhood either, which was unfortunately becoming increasingly common among her peers. Charlotte's father, Damien, was killed by a Death Eater shortly before she was born, because he was a half-blood Healer who helped Muggles that were injured in attacks lead by Voldemort and his followers. He was only 30 years old. Her twin brother didn't live through childbirth, so Charlotte's birth wasn't as joyous as it should have been.

Her mother, Rose, became so distraught that they left London and moved to the countryside of Southern Ireland. They were pretty remote, and lived with Damien's brother, Dale, who was a Curse-Breaker. When Charlotte got her Hogwarts letter, Rose was afraid to let Charlotte go, but she knew it was for the best.

Charlotte went to the train station with her mum and uncle and boarded the train without knowing anyone at all, taking the first step into a new chapter of her story.
