Mist:
When Utena wakes up in a hospital, her heart refuses to penetrate the mist covering her memories of how she got here.
Innocent:
To her surprise, and relief, it is not Anthy's deceptively innocent eyes that she wakes up to, but Miki's concerned blue ones. She does not examine why this is.
Kill:
Juri, Touga, and Wakaba visit a week after she wakes up. She is genuinely happy to see Wakaba, confused to see Juri, and irritated to see Touga. They all act like what's happened to her is horrible, yet, didn't they try to do much the same thing to her before? Miki, for all she has fought him in duels, has never tried to kill her. Which is more than she can say for the vast majority of her other well wishers; at least Wakaba hadn't been herself.
Irritating:
Being treated like a damsel in distress is rather irritating though. Honeslty, she can get to the bathroom just fine, there is nothing wrong with crawling. She left her damsel days behind her even before Ohtori. Though she cannot think of herself as a prince anymore, not after…
Kind:
Miki is kind, he doesn't press her about what happened, as seems content to cut apples up for her and explain what has happened since she was lost to the swords. She worries that she is taking advantage of his kind nature, but can't make herself stop, she doesn't have the strength to be strong anymore, that part of her left with a shattered sword.
Abhorrent:
It pains her, after all she's done, but the name Anthy has become even more abhorrent to her than thoughts of her not-Prince. She doesn't think on why this is though, it hurts to much.
Overbearing:
She's amazed at how Miki manages to take care of her without being overbearing, or losing his temper. Utena is honest enough to admit that she isn't a good patient. It fact she knows she's being impossible and anyone else would have dumped the bed pan on her head by now.
Reluctant:
The day she tells him about what happened, and let's herself remember, he holds her tenderly, and hours later, when she has cried herself to exhaustion, she is reluctant to let him go. Miki doesn't seem to be in any hurry either to let her go either.
Unexpected:
His proposal the day she is released is unexpected. The fact that she says yes is even more so. She is smiling though and maybe, when she thinks back to it, this turn of events may not be so unexpected, and is certainly not unwelcome. The look on Touga's face when she shows everyone the ring goes along way to healing her heart as well.
