Prequel to The Meaning of Life
Note: Okay, all you peoples who read The Meaning of Life and don't know what the hell is going on, or you liked it, or want to know more about it, please read this fic.
"If they can make things worse for me,"
Rei Hino stares at the temple which the youma just blew away, and looked up at the beast. The purplish winged dragon just laughed to itself and bombarded the streets with flames.
"Sometimes I'd rather die,"
Rei clutched her heart, knowing her only family she had left, had just been cruelly murdered. "Shimatta!" she yelled and looked at the burning corpses of her boyfriend and her grandfather. The girl looked up at Minako, who said nothing.
"If they can't tell me times are fixed,
Then I can't see eye to eye,"
Rei looked down at the gravel and up at the beast. "Kisama!" she yelled to it. The youma looked down and laughed. "So, you want to die too, eh? Fine with me!" the beast yelled as it swooped towards Rei.
"Well, I know they know the way I think,
I know they always will,"
Minako grabbed Rei's shoulder and tried to hold her back. "Rei!" she yelled. "We don't take lives out of hate! If you kill now, your life as a senshi will be in vain!" Rei smiled and laughed with a cold, evil smile. "Well then, fuck my life as a senshi! Mars Crystal Power!"
"Someday I'm gonna change my mind,
Sometimes I'd rather kill,"
Rei appeared as Super Sailor Mars. A cold hatred pulsed through her veins and she got off of the ground. "Mars Flame Sniper!" A jet of fire exploded out of her index fingers and singed the dragons wings. "Fuck!" it yelled, blowing fire across the ground, almost hitting the two senshi. "Sniper! Sniper!" she yelled, trying to bring it down. Instead, she got a shower of blood as it regenerated its wings.
"Bloodstains!
Speed kills!
Fast cars!
Cheap thrills!"
The excitement of the battle pumped adrenaline through the Rei's veins and filling her with new energy. "I hope you enjoy death!" she yelled, clapping her hands and creating the firebird, sending it thundering towards the youma, blowing it apart and sending white hot blood showering over Rei, leaving her laughing.
"Rich girls!
Fine wine!
I've lost my sense,
I've lost control,
I've lost my mind!"
Rei laughed in cold hatred as she sent balls of fire everywhere, clearly out of her mind as she burned what was left of the temple and slowed her laugh, transforming back and heading into the forest, where she sat down.
"Well, things seem so much different now,
The scene has died away,"
Rei leaned back against a tree, quickly letting her smile die as she realized what she had done, and remembered Minako's warning. "KUSO!"
"I haven't got a city job,
And I've got no place to stay!"
"Shimatta!" Rei yelled. "The youma drove me insane and took everything away from me!" A single tear drop fell off of her face.
"Well, it's our futuristic,
Modern world,
And things aren't what they seem!"
Rei swore revenge, no matter what it took, and closed her eyes with hatred towards the Negamoon.
"Someday, you better wake up,
From this fucked up city scene!"
