"This is going to be the BEST party of the year!", Paige exclaimed to Hazel. She had reason to; she was ablt to get the shin-dig booked at the poshest place in town, anyone who's anyone was invited, but most importantly, managed to get Avril Lavigne to play at the party! Nothing could get Paige down. Or so she thought...

Later after school, Paige headed to her house with Hazel, Darcy, and Manny to put the finishing touches on her party. "Why exactly am I here?", asked Manny. There was no question of why she did, considering the fact that she and Paige hadn't exactly been friends lately. They even got into a catfight in the middle of the hallways at Degrassi. In fact, Manny's the reason the school found out about Manny and Mr.O's secret relationship.

"Because," Paige began, "If you don't help me out, you're not invited, and you'll end up the laughing stock of the school." After a bit of awkward silences, Darcy was the first to talk. "So, who do you think I should go with?" "Well, I guess Toby's availible" smirked Paige. That joke apparently caused the whole kitchen to laugh, but Manny wasn't laughing; "Toby's a friend of mine. Back off." Another batch of awkward silences ensued...

"This crap is disgusting!" said Jay. Scraping the last bit of cassarole on someone's tray during lunch period. He and Spinner were on lunch duty. Yep, lunch duty. Intead of being expelled for being responsible (with, Spinner, of course) for the whole school shooting incident, he and Spinner decided to work at the caf in school."You think I don't know that?", answered Spinner. "I think this stuff is alive".

"So," Jay said, "Were you invited to Paige's party?" "Dude, two words. Ex-boyfriend" The two chuckled a bit, before Mrs. Kwan yelled, "Mr.Hogart, can I have my tray now?"

"So, umm," said Darcy, ending the awkwardness, "What about Spinner?" As if on cue, Paige gave a disapproving look. "Okay, Spin's not a good idea", Darcy finished, looking embarrassed. "Yeah, but Manny fell for him. Can you say 'embarrasing?' ", Paige added coldly. This was it for Manny. In a split second of hearing Paige's insult, she stormed out of Paige's house, upset and confused. "I guess she's not coming to the party", Paige joked.

"Emma or Manny", Jay asked Spin, playing 'This or That' with him at the ravine. "Of course Manny", Spinner replied. "Gotta go with the exotic one." Jay, with a puzzled look on his face, asked, "Not the blonde? Weird, dude. Just plain weird." Spinner was quick to say "Whatever, dude. At least I don't go around giving STD's to chicks." "Yeah. Too bad."

Later, after everyone had left Paige's house, she hurried up to her room to get to her computer. Recently, Paige had met someone online, who seemingly had all of the same interests as her. Paige didn't care if it was too good to be true, she just wanted meet someone new.
