An Unlikely Proposal

"Sakura-chan, you should marry me. No one else is going to put up with your pummeling. It's the only logical thing."

Sakura smirked at Naruto's self-assured tone.

"Perhaps it has escaped your notice, baka but you are the only one I "pummel" on a regular basis. So, logically, you are the last person I should marry."

Naruto cackled.

"That's exactly where you're wrong Sakura-chan! See, after marriage, wives have this irresistible urge to inflict bodily harm upon their husbands. Given your short temper and crazy inhuman strength, marrying you is positively suicidal. Only a fool or a masochist would be willing to do it. Luckily for you, I happen to be both!"

Sakura's eyes narrowed at this apparently airtight reasoning.

"Let me get this straight. I ought to marry you because I'm too violent for anyone else?"

Naruto nodded gleefully.

"Ah."

Seconds later Naruto found himself sporting a beautiful plum coloured bruise.

One year later they got married in a lovely ceremony under plum trees.
