Chapter 1:

Sirius was Andromeda's favorite cousin.

And why did he talk her into going into a muggle store instead of Diagon Alley during winter vacation?

"It's juts for a few minutes." replied Sirius. "Besides, I've seen Regulus in here a few times. I have to use the bathroom. Hold this."

Sirius handed her a record for some Beatle's album and walked to the bathroom in the back.

Andromeda looked around. So far, it was her, Sirius, and the man behind the counter- a tall young man her age with red brown hair and green eyes, wearing a t shirt and jeans.

"You like the Beatles?" asked the young man, looking at her.

"Huh?" asked Andromeda.

He pointed to the record she was holding.

"Oh no. I'm holding it for my cousin." replied Andromeda. "I've never heard about them before in my life."

"How can you not hear of the Beatles?" Ted asked. "What about Otis Redding? The Byrds? The Rolling Stones? Petula Clark?"

"Who are they?" asked Andromeda, wishing that Sirius would come back soon.

"You're kidding me." he replied, walking from behind the counter and over to the shelves, pulling off random records. "You have a record player at your house?"

"A what?"

"Blimey. You really are behind." replied the man, putting the records on the counter. "Tell you what. I'll put all these on over the radio, and you and I can listen to them until you cousin comes back."

Andromeda wondered what her mother would say if she found out she was talking to muggles.

"Okay." she replied. "Just for a little while..."

She looked at his nametag.

"Edward."

Andromeda started coming back to the store daily to talk to Edward every day to talk about music and listen to records. She even started buying some records for herself, which she hid under her bed.

"This was an amazing Christmas" replied Andromeda. "It's a shame I have to go to boarding school tomarrow."

"Well, you'll be back for the summer, right?" asked Edward.

"Of course!" replied Andromeda. "Why wouldn't I be?"

Months ago, she would have refused.

"You'll write, won't you?" asked Edward.

"Of course!" replied Andromeda as she picked up her purse and began to leave when she looked up and noticed the stray mistletoe over the doorway.

"Looks like you forgot something." replied Andromeda.

Edward looked up.

"Well then." replied Andromeda. "I'll see you for Easter Edward."

Right when she was about to walk away, Edward walked over and pulled her into a kiss. The two broke apart after a minute, looking at each other.

"Please." he responded. "Call me Ted."

And Andromeda kissed him right back.
