Hello, guys, if you have been reading my story on Blu's Parents, you would know I am putting that story on hold because of writers' block, so I am taking a break from that story and going to write a few short stories. This one is going to be about the day when Blu and Jewel's kids are old enough to go out and live by themselves.

Letting Go

It was another peaceful day in the Amazon and in one hollow a family of five was waking up to another fruitful day. This day was especially going to be fruitful for this family. Today was the last day that Bia, Carla, and Tiago would be living with their mom and dad, Blu and Jewel, before they went to live by themselves. The kids had all grown to the age of 16 a few days ago and were preparing for the day.

Blu, who was sad that his kids would be leaving, was happy when he went to wake his kids.

"Morning, my angels, who is ready for today?"

The family was going to spend the day together having fun and Blu was really excited.

"Morning, daddy." The three teenagers said in unison. "We are ready."

Jewel was preparing breakfast when she saw Blu and her kids come down, Jewel kissing each one. With tears in her eyes, Jewel said. "I never thought this day would come."

After enjoying a good breakfast, the family spent the day by taking a relaxing walk, playing soccer, and having karaoke.

Everyone had a good time, the family shared many laughs, jokes and talking about the past.

When the sun finally started to go down in the Amazon, the family flew back home, where they enjoyed a relaxing dinner, after which the family spent the time in their home talking about last minutes things they had on their mind.

Blu and Jewel went to bed, happy that the family had fun, but both of them sad that it had to end.

"We knew this day would come, Jewel, our kids are all grew up and besides we still have each other."

"I know, I just wish a day like this would last forever."

The two cuddled up with each other, happy.

Finally, morning started again in the Amazon and the day had arrived for Bia, Carla, and Tiago to leave home and go their separate ways.

"Bye mom and dad." The three kids took turns saying. "I will miss you guys very much." Hugging their mom and dad in turn.

Blu than spoke to all three. "You know I am very proud of all you guys, I knew this day would come, but I also knew that I would eventually have to let you go."

Jewel than spoke. "Make sure you guys visit often, and bring us grandchildren, okay."

"Yes, mom." The three kids said.

The family than got together in one big hug and Bia, Carla, and Tiago all took a deep breath and flew out, going their separate ways to live on their own. Blu and Jewel stood watching, holding each other, with tears in their eyes. Letting go of their kids was extremely difficult, but it had to happen.

The End
