Heero's Children
Prolog
(Tokyo, Japan A.C. 198)
"Hey give that back!" my three year old daughter yells at her twin brother.
"No! It's my turn!" he yells back as he hugs the rubber beach ball that he had taken from her.
"Now, now, Unmei, Kitsune! Play nice or I'll be forced to take the ball away ok?" I say with a strict authority in my voice.
They look up at me and say, "Hai, o-kaasan," before they start to play keep away with their puppy sia.
As I watch them play, I hear someone walking up behind me. I pull out my .35 caliber Magnum personalized handgun and stand up. As I turn, I point the gun at the convict coming toward me. However before I can say anything a shot rings out and the man falls to the ground without a sound.
I turn to see Him… Heero Yuy… standing there with his gun in hand and my children hiding behind his legs.
"Unmei, Kitsune, come here please children." I say as I put my gun away.
They run over and Unmei says, "O-kaasan! O-kaasan! Did you see?! He shot that bad man for you!!"
"Yes I see that Unmei. Now why don't you and Kitsune go and play on the swings while I talk to him. Ok honey?" I say as I give her a little push toward the swings.
"Ok o-kaasan!" she says and runs off with her brother.
Heero watches them leave then turns toward me and says, "Long time no see… you alright?"
"Hai, I'm ok." I answer and look away as I say, "It has been a while hasn't it?"
"Hai, it has…how have you been?" he asks as we sit down on a nearby bench.
"Ok I guess, save for the fact that I've had to move every three months due to people trying to kill me and my children." I answer casually.
"Hn, and why is that." He asks with slight concern entering his usually emotionless voice.
"Because of who their father is…" I answer as I watch Kitsune push his sister and sia on the swings.
"Hn, and who is that." He asks as he turns toward me.
I stand up and turn toward the children, calling them over.
"Now kids, who did I tell you was your father? Please, tell this man who he was." I ask my children to do as they run over.
Kitsune is the one who answers, "Well o-kaasan, you told us that our father was a mobil, no that's not right… he was a mobile suit pilot. and you told us that he piloted a Gundam. You said he was the best and that he helped stop the Eve Wars and the Barton in…incid…incident. He worked with the other four Gundam pilots and , and his name… his name was Heero Yuy!" Kitsune states proudly and smiles as he finishes with his speech. Heero just sits and stares at the child.
