Conner leaned on the wall and waited patiently. They didn't have enough time left. Nightwing already gave his instructions and teaming assignments. He heard Tim's breathing, he was alone. He held out his hand and pulled Tim inside his room, the door closing immediately. "Conner!"
"Be careful." Conner told him. He looked into the mask, staring right into Tim's eyes.
Tim sighed and stepped away for a second to remove his mask. "Dick already told me to be careful." He stepped in Conner's arms again and hugged him. "Actually, he told me to not put the team in any unnecessary risks."
Conner pulled away to look at him. "Well, whether or not he told you, I'm telling you." Conner placed a hand on Tim's cheek. "Be careful."
"At least you're not asking Dick to reassign me to your team." Tim chuckled.
Conner rolled his eyes and pecked Tim's lips. "I want my boyfriend back in one piece."
Tim couldn't help but smile at him fondly. "You're a sap." Tim went on his toes and kissed Conner. "I'll be fine, Conner, really. Now go, M'gann's probably waiting for you."
Conner nodded and gave him one last hug. "I love you." Conner whispered in his ear.
