Kaoru reached over and slammed the alarm. It had been preset to eleven a.m. by one of the maids- he wasn't sure which- and the buzzing was just irritating.
Besides, it was getting in the way of his 'sleeping next to Hikaru' time. He was perfectly content to lay next to him, listening lazily to his brother's deep breathing.
It was soothing to know there was someone just like him, someone who understood him.
It had been shocking when his other half had suddenly decided to dye his hair a dark ashy black and had announced his adoration to Haruhi, but he had gotten over it. He would be here for him when Haruhi rejected him, although he had hoped his brother would never have to feel the sting of rejection.
He knew he shouldn't be this jealous. Who was the one sleeping next to Hikaru? It definitely wasn't Haruhi.
Oh well. It'd only be a matter of time before his brother realised the other's feelings...
But until then, he'd be right here, waiting.
