Erm…this is kinda a teaser chapter. A really, really, REALLY short teaser chapter. It isn't a prologue, cuz that is the next chapter. And this is probably part of a chapter in the future. I might just leave it discontinued though—actually most probably discontinued. I wrote this a long time ago, and if it took me this long to post it, it means I'm not all that interested…
He couldn't believe what had happened. He had nearly been charged with killing his own father…and he knew he hadn't done it. He also knew who did do it. Everyone thought his mum was such a nice, forgiving person for not pressing charges.
It was all just a bunch of bull! The whole thing. He knew, though, that he had lost. Now his mum could torture him all she liked, and there was nothing he could do about it. If he ever even tried to file a case for child abuse, the first thing that would come up was a file saying he was a murderer. That his mum was so damn kind and that he was just a lucky juvenile delinquent.
They would never believe him. So what was there left to do? Run away? No, he had no where to go. Kill himself? No, he was still a small kid more afraid of death then life. What else? In another year he would be going to Hogwarts, true. But someone had to pay for him, which meant his mum.
But that too was still a whole year away, and she might kill him before that year was up. He sat out on the porch, weighing his options. He realized finally it was best to live. If he learned magic, he might have a better chance of escaping. He sighed, watching the new neighbors arrive. His mum had told him that they were purebloods, so he was allowed to associate with them. They were even on the family tree.
The family was really wealthy, and they even had a kid. It was a perfect and complete family too, with a probably non-abusive mother, and a live dad.
Suddenly the boy looked his way and waved.
