The Promised Land
The flurry of bombs caresses the air
In their descent comes cries of despair
That habitual comet of BIM
Bears sequential companionship with occurrences so grim:
Assorted vulgarities, expressed
in a moment's absolute fruitlessness
Largely on the part of the condemned,
The arbitrary shards
(long compressed under boot's heel)
Of the lives broken,
And the numberless hours
Of our losing grip
On the marathon against a clock unspoken.
All island inhabitants
Wish to take leave from here.
I don't.
Did Moses flee from the promised land?
After all, it's such an enjoyable game of tag
When you aren't "it".
AN) And there you have it, a drabble (one hundred word) poem more or less from the viewpoint of the senile shota of the hour, and I state more or less because I can't see Kosuke using such "uppity" language, nor writing poetry at all. Hope we get more Btooom! fics in; it's proving to be a rather interesting story.
Ah, who am I kidding, I'm here for the gore.
By the way, Moses didn't even enter the Promised Land (of course, there's debate on that, but my basic Sunday School education is telling me no). Kosuke's view on the Bible, while it's a miracle he has one at all, is a little skewed.
