So He fell for a Girl with a Scary Temper and was Trained to Kill – What's Your Point?

This just so happens to be one of my absolute FAVOURITE couples – AleX23! This little fic is number FOUR in the "Just Watching Her, He Says" fics. It is based on the idea that Alex is rather fascinated on the idea that Wolverine has a female clone. Read & Review!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own the series X-Men Evolution in any way but in my imagination. Happy now?

First time he ever heard of her was when Scott came to visit him in Hawaii. Alex had asked about recent goings-on at the mansion, and Scott had told him about how Wolverine's past had caught up to him again, in the form of a female clone that blamed him for her wretched life, and had taken out the whole mansion – including the Professor – to try and get to him.

Alex had listened, fascinated. Soon after, in a phone call, discussing his moving to the mansion and joining the X-Men, Scott had mentioned that Logan's clone, X-23 – now called "Laura", had joined his future team, the New Mutants. Alex had spent part of the flight trying to imagine what the mansion would be like, as well as the girl he had heard about, and whom he was, to be truthful, was rather fascinated by.

When he had gotten to the mansion and been introduced, he'd stared at her, and she'd stared right back. Alex had been expecting a girl that looked like a smaller, female version of Wolverine; but she actually didn't look that much like him at all. There were things that were similar, of course: facial expressions (their scowls and smirks were almost identical), their body language and movements (without meaning too, they would synchronise their movements when they made breakfast – it was kinda creepy in a really funny way).

First evidence of her temper he'd seen: when touring the Danger Room, Laura was just starting a simulation with three really big robots. After letting out a small battle cry, Alex watched as she'd reduced the robots to scrap metal in two and a half minutes. Yeeesh.

But he'd still fallen for her. Hard. About as hard as Blob's head. When not fighting, she was nice, gentle, she had a sense of humour (even if she didn't laugh at every bad joke she heard), she loved tree, nature and all growing things, and yes, she was a little weird, but who wasn't?

She even made leather combat armour look stylish (which is NOT an easy thing to do, dude).

So, yes. Alex had fallen for a girl who was scary as heck, and could probably kill in your sleep and make it look like an accident if you pissed her off. What's your point?
