Title: Don't Fail Me
Summary: No matter how much the others tried to tell her, Cynthia still feels that she failed Veronica by living when her captain was killed in battle.

A/N: The pairing for this little fic is Cynthia and Veronica. This isn't a romance pairing though at all.
"We've got one chance. Don't fail me Cynthia."
Those were some of the last words that I had heard Veronica say to me before she was killed in the second part of the battle while battling one of the Awakened Ones.
I feel that I did fail Veronica by not protecting her enough and by living, when she my captain died at hands of an Awakened Being in battle and despite the words of the others, Miria included.
I wonder though if I really did fail Veronica or if I really didn't fail her at all, like my living comrades have tried to tell.
But I do know now that I want to get revenge against the organization for Veronica and our other fallen comrades of that battle in the North.
I hope to see Veronica and our other comrades once more. But I still wonder.. did I fail her in that battle by living when she had died.
