Chapter 0ne:Unpleasant news
Luigi was enjoying silence. Mario was gone for the weekend with Princess Peach at a meeting with another Kingdom (Luigi recalled the name of the kingdom to be something like "Cabbage"). He was glad he could be without his brother and didn't need to worry about him getting captured in the middle of his quest to save a princess. He could finally reeelaaaaaaaax… Just then he heard the Mail Koopa's call."Mail call!" She shouted. Reluctantly, Luigi got up to get his mail.
"Mornin'." He grunted to the Mail Koopa as she flew off. In his mail, there was nothing unusual. There were about twenty fan letters for Mario and a couple of letters for Luigi reminding him to pay the Mushroom Kingdom taxes (Mario didn't need to because he saved Princess Peach on a monthly basis). Luigi was surprised to see in the pile there was a letter for him that didn't involve taxes. It was from Professor E. Gad! Luigi Quickly opened it.
Dear Luigi,
I know it has been nearly 3 months since we saw each other, but I would love it if you stopped by for lunch today at 12:30. There isn't much to say besides that!

Luigi wasn't exactly thrilled to get a letter from E. Gadd, but decided it wouldn't hurt to visit. Luigi still remembered the directions on the fake "You've won a Mansion!" letter, so off he went. It was a long walk, but eventually he saw the dreaded haunted house. He walked up to E. Gadd's lab and rang the door bell. E. Gadd opened the door immediately, as if he was waiting right by it.
"Hello Luigi! Come straight in!" The short professor said enthusiastically. "Help yourself to any leftovers you find in the fridge." Luigi was mildly surprised at that statement.
"Excuse me sir," asked Luigi as he sat down "not to offend you, but why did you invite me for lunch if you had no food prepared?"
"Because I have some grave news to tell you." Stated E. Gadd as he pulled a turkey leg and a pizza slice for himself out of the fridge "I was going to tell you later, but I'll give you the full news now. Even though you destroyed King Boo, Someone has revived him. I am very sure it was Bowser. They teamed up and captured both princess Peach and Mario. I need you to stop King Boo and save your brother. You're probably wondering how I know about Mario being captured. I have put tiny trackers on both Mario and King Boo. You are also probably wondering why I am telling you to do it. I am not the man I used to be. I'm really old and can't do much besides inventing useless gadgets. I am sure you would be more than happy to save your brother, yes?" E. Gadd was eating his turkey leg throughout talking.
Luigi was flabbergasted.
"But I… he was... my weekend off…uh… I can't…" Luigi sputtered.
