Dimmock stood beside Lestrade against the police car, watching the underground smuggling team escorted to the van across the road. He watched John Watson stand with his girlfriend Sarah for a while as she was checked over in the ambulance, then put his arm around her and walk her down the road, presumably to her flat.

Frowning, he cast about for the John's flatmate. Ah, there he is, he thought, smiling a little, as he saw the consulting detective jog across the road towards him. The Consulting Detective who had embarrassed him in front of the entire team. The Consultive Detective that had made him feel like a complete idiot. The Consulting Detective with those gorgeous sparkling eyes, the perfect black curls atop those chiseled cheekbones. Dimmock had to shake himself out of his daydream as he realized this dream of a man was standing in front of him, grinning.

"Uh, hi…" He managed, trying to hide his blush. Sherlock turned his cold gaze to him, and smiled warmly. "Uh, hi. Dimmock, isn't it?"

"Call me Colin." He managed with a small smile. Sherlock smiled and nodded. "And um, sorry for being an idiot earlier. At the Van Coon flat." He added, staring at his feet. Sherlock sighed and nodded as Lestrade gestured to the two that he had to go and speak with Donovan.

"Hmm? Oh that? It's fine, honestly." He said with a smile.

"Oh, really? Okay. Um, look, I was wondering, well, John's presumably out with his girlfriend all night so…you fancy um, maybe going for a drink? There's a nice bar a few streets away, quite quiet, secluded, you know? Thought that'd be more your kind of thing than the local pub."

Sherlock considered this a moment, glancing back at where the other policemen had gathered.

"Sure. Why not." He said, with a smile. "Second turning on the right, then keep going 'til the T junction, turn left then first right?" He asked.

"That's the place!" Colin replied, after taking a moment to go through the route in his head.

"Lovely."

Colin blushed and grinned at the ground, then jogged after Sherlock, who had already set off down the road.
