Updated: My Gohan High School story. Now updated because I wasn't a very good writer. I'm fixing my grammatical errors and spelling. Plus I tried make Hawk more bearable. He's less powerful, closer to Piccolo's power level but not quite as strong as a Super Saiyan at first. He doesn't come close to Goku, Vegeta and Gohan at their full power. Gohan is still a nerd like in anime/manga but has retained his Super Saiyan 2 strength. He is the Great Saiyaman sill because I feel it really does fit his nerdy persona. Majin Buu is the main antagonist in the story before the Dragon Ball Super Arcs. He's different than in the anime/manga.
Gohan befriends a young swordsman in training named Hawk after Hawk helps Piccolo against Cell. Hawk eventually moves in with Gohan. Chi Chi forces them to study before they can train. She then forces them to go to real high school so they can try to be normal teenagers. Instead they become super heroes, much to the dismay of Hercules daughter Videl. When she's unable to find out who they are, she enlists the help of her friend Jess. With the World Martial Arts tournament just around the corner, what dangers are lurking around the corner?
Disclaimer: I don't own the Dragon Ball Series.
High School: Gohan & Hawk Style
Prologue
"No way! I absolutely not go will you!" A young boy told his friend.
"But Hawk, I need you to come. You know, for support. That's what friends do." His friend said back.
"No Gohan, I'm not going to the Cell Games. I'm not even as strong as Piccolo and we all know that the only ones who will be fighting are your Dad and Vegeta. So there's no point in me going." Hawk argued.
"Come on, we need your support. If those two fail then I need you for backup. I bet Cell would even let you use your sword." Gohan pleaded.
Hawk sighed in defeat. "Fine I'll go. But you better not die. I don't like making new friends."
"Hawk, I'm your only friend."
"Shut up." Hawk got up and began to head out.
"Where are you going?"
"I gotta go, my Grandfather's waiting."
"Okay, meet us out front tomorrow morning." Gohan called after him.
"Yeah, yeah." He said, waving him off. He stuck his hands in his pockets and took off into the sky.
Hawk was a young swordsman that Gohan had befriended after Hawk helped Piccolo with Cell.
Flashback
"Thanks for the info." Piccolo told Cell. He proceeded to tear off the arm that Cell had sucked dry and grew a new one.
"You tricked me! You'll pay for that."Cell growled. He extended his arm and charged his attack. "I borrowed this one from Vegeta. Big Bang Att-..." Cell was interrupted when his arm fell off. He turned to his left to see a boy sheathing a katana. He was wearing black baggy pants and a sleaveless white shirt. He has short brown hair and wore a grey headband to keep his hair from his eyes. "What the? Who are you? Cell asked in shock.
"I'm Hawk and I'm here to stop you from absorbing more people." He answered.
"You Little Bastard." Mirai and Krillen came flying down. Cell quickly grew a new arm and took to the sky. "I kill you later! Solar Flare!" He blinded everyone and successfully got away.
"Damn Monster, thanks anyways Kid." Piccolo told Hawk.
"Um Piccolo, who's your friend?" Krillen asked.
"Kid, who are you?" Piccolo questioned.
"I'm Hawk, I'm a swordsman in training. My grandfather and I live on the outskirts of town and he told me to go help." He answered.
"Wow Kid, you must be pretty strong." Krillen told him.
"I guess." Hawk said with a grin.
"Enough small talk, I'll explain the situation when Vegeta and Tien get here. Kid you stay with us, we don't want you getting ambushed." Piccolo told everyone.
After Piccolo explained the situation, they headed back to Kame House. They split up into groups. Hawk stayed with Gohan and the others to protect Goku, while the other went Cell hunting. Later, Hawk went with Gohan and Goku to Kami's Lookout. Hawk got basic martial arts training from Goku, while he and Gohan waited for the Time Chamber. This also gave Hawk and Gohan a chance to become friends.
After Goku and Gohan emerged from the Time Chamber, Cell announced the Cell Games would take place in one week. This gave Gohan and Hawk time to be kids.
End Flashback
The Z-Fighters arrived at the Cell Games arena the next day. Goku was the first to fight Cell. They had an intense evenly fought battle and then Goku suddenly gave up. He said that Gohan would be the one to beat Cell. Gohan tried his hand at winning but Cell was too strong. After Cell learned Gohan's true power was only awaken by anger, he changed his battle plan. He spawned several creatures dubbed Cell Jr. When the pain they inflicted on the Z-Fighters didn't trigger Gohan's power, Cell focused his attention on Hawk. "Well, well if it isn't the boy who took my arm. Let me return the favor, with interest." Cell grabbed Hawk by the throat and Hawk tried his hardest to break free. "Say goodbye to your friend, Gohan." Cell sent a beam through Hawk's chest and he died almost instantly. Cell tossed his body aside and chuckled at his work.
Gohan looked at his friend's limb body on ground. Hawk's eyes were still open, but the life was faded. Gohan finally snapped. Gohan ascended to Super Saiyan 2 and beat Cell within an inch of his life. In a last ditch effort to win Cell tried to blow himself up and take the planet along with him. However, Goku saved everyone by bring Cell to King Kai's Planet. Goku and King Kai died in the explosion, but Cell managed to survive. He returned stronger than before and killed Mirai. After an enraged Vegeta failed to kill Cell, Gohan stepped in. They began a Kamehameha dual. With a little help from Goku and Hawk, Gohan finished Cell off.
The Z-Fighters returned to the Lookout and wished everyone back to life. Everyone except Goku. He said that the only reason the Earth is threatened was because the bad guys were always him.
Other than the death of Goku, everything went back to normal. Gohan had time to be a kid and Hawk finally had a friend. They spent almost everyday together training, so Gohan could maintain Super Saiyan 2 and Hawk could try an get stronger. Then Chi Chi told them they had to study before they trained. Hawk's grandfather felt it was a good idea as well, so they had no choice. They were just going to have to make the best of it.
