Tragic Lover's Last Serenade

The dear first contact

I shall always remember

Her eyes, her shine, the flowing white dress

Her nature, most of all; sweet and soft, like a flower.

Appointed as high priest, I watched and assisted her prayers

But peace only came when we were together

In the gardens, or within the palace, we always felt content

As if our souls were forever linked and renewed.

Our first dance, kiss, and night together

Made me feel her pain and sorrow

From the Pillar, the accursed crown, that kept her from her wishes

In my selfishness, I set out to destroy her imprisonment.

I attempted this wrongly, and it cost us much

Lives were lost and dreams were shattered

All because of a selfish love

My own love that I could not deny.

I sent minions and darkness one after the other

To combat the ones that would put an end to us

But all were unsuccessful and I only felt crushed

With each additional loss and death.

I sit here now, bruised and broken

Dwelling inside my dying machine

Which has lost a deadly dance of battle.

I wait for the flames to engulf me as I think of her

And wait for our last serenade to begin.

Emeraude....I beg of you...forgive me.
