THE SHARPSHOOTER
Chapter 1

Here we are at Balamb Garden. This is currently the home to the hero of our story. At this time Balamb is currently flooded with students due to the fact that Galbadia Garden is under construction and they require a place to house their students.
For some, this is an annoyance. For others . . . it's bliss
"Hey the girls!"
The trio of girls walking towards the dormitories turned around to face the speaker.
"Hi Irvine" one of them said.
"I just can't believe that there are three beautiful women all in the same place!"
The girls giggled at this overused line.
"Can't you think up any new ones Irvine?"
Irvine put a fist to his head and looked like he was deep in thought.
"Well then . . . how about . . . erm . . ."
The girls laughed again and walked away.
"Hey wait!" Irvine called as he ran to catch up to them and them tripped and fell. "How about a date or something"
One of the girls called out something indiscernible and then they disappeared from view. Irvine sighed and crawled away. Above him someone cleared her throat.
"Excuse me Mr. Kinneas. Why are you on the ground?"
Irvine looked up to see Xu staring down at him.
"Oh . . . I . . . err . . . umm . . . was just . . ."
"Don't worry about making an excuse, I have other things to attend to. Just make sure you don't go crawling through the Garden again. Our SeeDs do have standards to live up to."
"Of course." Irvine mumbled. "Won't happen again."
Irvine sunk his shoulders and wandered back to his Dorm room.

Irvine sat in the cafeteria and ate his lunch in silence. Every so often he would look up and wink at a passing girl. Then a young boy holding a large dish of hotdogs walked over and sat down.
"Yo Irvine! Wassup?"
"Nothing much." Irvine said as he waved at a passing group of girls.
"Still at it eh?" Zell said.
"Ha! I wish!" Irvine laughed. "How do you do it Zell? How do you get a girl to like you? You've been going out with that pigtail girl for awhile haven't you?"
Zell suddenly froze as he had his mouth open while eating a hotdog.
"Errm . . . we haven't really been going out officially. And anyway, her name's Kate!"
"Ok, ok. But why does she like you?"
"Look Irvine, the thing is . . . I don't really know . . ."
Irvine threw his arms up in the air and sighed heavily.
"Oh well." He said "I guess it can't be helped then"
"The only thing I got to say is," Zell said as he leaned closer to Irvine. "You just gotta play it through the way it's meant to be. You just gotta relax."
"Maybe . . ." Irvine said as he grinned across the room. "You could be right."

That's the end of chapter 1. I'm not sure if I'll continue this though. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. If I'm inspired I may do more. Time will tell. Anyway plz r + r. ~Wumbahi
