Good evening~

I'm back again and this time it's a Chitose/Shiraishi. I really do love them as a couple, I can't ship them with anybody else (well maybe I kinda like Shiraishi/Kirihara a bit, but that's it).

Disclaimer: Prince of tennis and its characters do not belong to me. Credits for this series go to its author, Takeshi Konomi. I only own my stories.

[Just like magic]

The world seems slightly surreal; darkness extends itself just like a ink stain, or a cloud of black smoke, starting from the right angle of his sight and slowly clouding the scenery, wiping out all the colors.

Chitose let himself fall on his knees with one hand pressed on his defective eye, and hopelessly, desperately tries to focus on the field that is disappearing right before him, engulfed by the darkness. The more he realizes how his sight has betrayed him again, the more he feels anxiety and frustration build up inside; these ugly thoughts are so strong they can almost choke him. And nobody's there to help him, because they're all already left while he's remained behind to play some more tennis, unsatisfied with his own results. But he can't do it alone, and as this realization sinks inside of him he suddenly starts panicking.

He can't even find his own racket anymore, it's fallen somewhere and he can't see it; he tries to reach for it, desperately fumbling the ground, but he's hopeless. He can't do it alone. Suddenly the racket is placed in his hands and as he grabs onto it as though his life depends on it, a third hand covers his eyes and forehead.

"Relax," Shiraishi's voice is low and composed, "Soon you'll be alright again."

And if for a moment, there, Chitose has felt lost, now he finds himself again thanks to these words.

Shiraishi's hands touch his face gently, casually brushing against his closed eyelids and his rigid cheekbones, caressing his curly hair, and somehow manage to give back peace and serenity to his hurt soul. Trembling, Chitose reaches for Shiraishi's hand, presses it to his lips and kisses his bandages lightly; Kintaro is convinced that Shiraishi's hands hid some kind of poison, but Chitose firmly believed that, on the opposite, they can do magic.

It's short, but I hope you enjoyed it. As always, I'd love to hear your opinions!

Kisses,

nisha.
