Summary: Ichimaru, Aizen and Tousen have gone to Hueco Mundo and its time for the show down. Seiretei versus Hueco Mundo. Former Captains versus Captains. What was the real reason for the betrayal, and has the project been completed?
The portal to Karakura town form Hueco Mundo was ripped open and an eye of black stained the blue sky. Within the portal was former captains Aizen Sousuke, Ichimaru Gin and Tousen Kaname, along with the high ranking Arrancar. High spirit pressure was thick in the air, suffocating even to high ranking shinigami, mostly emanating from Aizen.
The remaining Shinigami Captains facing them, their vice captains at their sides. Squad one's captain, Genryusai Yamato, in the middle. The others captains were surrounding him. The captains of squad's four, eleven and twelve were helping Ichigo rescue Orihime.
Both sides looked evenly matched in terms of numbers. The shinigami knew that Aizen was the one to worry about; if he was out of the way they could defeat the rest, and then defeat him. "We won't be able to defeat Aizen if all these Arrancar are surrounding him, not to mention the two other ex captains. We need to defeat them without Aizen being able to protect them or defeat Aizen first" Ukitake Taichou explained.
"The most effective method would be to get Aizen out of the way and destroy him after the others" Genryusai stated, and released his zanpakuto from the walking stick. Almost immediately after the release, he used an attack which created a barrier of flames around Aizen, Ichimaru and Tousen. Even those three would not ne able to escape the ring for some time, leaving the captains, and vice captains, to destroy the Arrancar stopping them.
Both sides split up, Arrancar and shinigami paired up to fight. The numbers worked out to one against one. Genryusai ordered the shinigami to finish the fight quickly, peace must be restored as soon as possible and the war must end. Everyone agreed to this and responded with a "yes" and the appropriate address.
The captains released most of their spirit pressure and used all of the special attacks they had, it was not the most tactical approach but it seemed to work, not only were the Arrancar surprised they were also dead a few milliseconds later. The vice captains did essentially the same thing but released all their energy. All of these attacks were done at once and the Arrancar were defeated in one go.
It seems far too easy to defeat all of them in such a short space of time. The shinigami agreed that something was up; it would be too easy to defeat Aizen at this rate. Caution was advised in everything the shinigami did from now on, a trap or trick was imminent, and Genryusai released the flame barrier so Aizen and the other two could be defeated.
"What'cha do to those Arrancar? Ya'll took 'em out quick" Ichimaru commented and walked past where the barrier was a second ago. Aizen and Tousen also stepped forward. Aizen smirked, and the ever present smirk on Gin's face grew.
The ever cocky Ikaku shouted to the ex captains, "You're not gonna be able to control Soul Society with just the three of you!" If it was possible, Gins smirk grew wider. It almost seemed like he was going to laugh. Even Tousen and Aizen looked amused. The captains stood, cautiously, waiting for something to happen. A serious look on all of they're faces. They all knew they were being messed with. Had the Arrancar and Aizen finished the project? What was the outcome and what did they have in store?
The shinigami knew something was going to happen, and the most likely thing would be the reveal of the completed project, and they knew because of the strength of the hougyoku, one side will win; the other side will be destroyed.
