The doctor's words wash over me.
"..we have braces for your leg, but I'm afraid that we don't have any thing for your arm." he says.
I look down at my useless arm, resting to my left. I snort at a stupid thought that I have, that I'll never look at it as part of me ever again.
"Well, Ryuko," the doctor continues, "What do you think?"
"What?" I ask, which I was also thinking.
"Ahem, well, as I was saying, your condition will make it difficult to walk, so, your parents and I recommend that you go to a school that specializes in this kind of thing."
"Oh," I say. I don't argue, since it's probably for the best, or at least my parents would say so.
So, starting next term, I'll be living in the dorm of some new school. Ya-ma-something, the doctor mentioned. I'm still wondering how my 'condition' even exists. He said that I have no connection to the muscles or nerves in my left limbs. And apparently they have a brace that'll keep my leg straight enough to walk on. Either way, I'm not exactly looking forward to this.
Hello. I'm WillPlayGames, and I'll be leading you through the story of Ryuko Tomoki. Reader input is appreciated, so if you want to participate, I'll have decisions in the footnote. You can post your choice as a review, and I'll acknowledge it.
