Rain poured down on Godric's Hallow, making it so you could barely see three feet in front of you.

"All the better," he thought to himself as he Apparated in front of the now ruined cottage. Of course it was raining. The weather could never be nice again; not when Lilly…when Lilly was…

Six months later and it still killed him to think about. Lilly…his Lilly-flower, d-dead.

He fought the tears filling his eyes. Severus Snape did not cry. He couldn't cry; it showed weakness, and one thing he was not was weak.

By this time he had reached the dilapidated church. Attached was a cemetery, the only cemetery. There was no doubt this is where she was buried. Opening the rusted wrought iron gate, he felt the first emotion he experienced in months: depression. Horrible, gut-wrenching depression. Lilly was here. Lying under some yellowing grass and dirt. His Lilly, who just half a year ago was smiling and laughing, holding her son in her arms.

Severus didn't realize it, but he had been walking towards her tombstone the entire time. As he looked down upon the Potter's grave, he gave in and cried. He let all the pain, all the fear, all the regret he felt come pouring out with the silent sobs.

"O-Oh, Lilly," Snape stuttered out through his tears, "I am so…so sorry…for everything. For calling you a Mudblood, for joining the Death Eaters, for telling the Dark Lord about the prophecy, for everything love. I'm so sorry I missed your funeral, I was forbidden to go. He would have killed me; not that I really care, but Dumbledore needs me to spy for him. Also, I need to protect your son. I can't say I'm going to love Harry, considering I heard that he looks like James, but I will attempt to be civil. His eyes look like yours though. Every time I see them will be salt in the wound. So, beautiful, I want to apologize if I treat your son horribly. I'm sorry Lils." Snape took one last look at her grave, feeling his heart nearly stop, "I love you, Lilly Evans. Always have, always will." He Dissapperated with a crack, leaving the cemetery behind.
