Rain: This is a random one shot because it's all drama. It is very sad. Please, I am in a sad mood tonight.

As Kagome's hand touched the earth Inu Yasha Screamed.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! KAGOOOOOOMMEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Kagome's body touched the earth in a slow process. Her shoulder blades touched, then her legs, then the rest of her back. A muffled thump was heard as it rested on the surface of the ground.

Kagome saw Inu Yasha jump to her. He held her hand and told her to come back. She wanted to comfort him. She whispered to him.

"Inu Yasha. I don't"

"Don't what Kagome...Don't what?"

"I don't want to....*cough cough* die, in the dark. *cough*"

"You won't Kagome. You won't...."

Silent tears were slipping from his eyes. They wet the ground next to him and Kagome. He held her hand, and his face was above hers watching.

"I don't want to die. In....the dark....."

"Kagome... DON'T DIE!"

As Kagome watched the sun she felt her life slip out of her grasp. She watched as the sun shown behind Inu Yasha's head. She looked deep into the depths of his golden irises.

"Thank....you Inu....Yasha. *cough* You're my light. *cough, cough* Thank you."

As Kagome's lifeless hand slipped from his in slow motion. As it rebounded of the ground Inu Yasha sobbed. Kagome was dead. She wasn't coming back. She died.

Inu Yasha looked up with lifeless eyes. He had just watched the woman he loved most die. She didn't have a chance. She saved his life by placing hers in for him. She leapt in the way of Naraku's tentacle to save him.

Kagome was gone. She would never come back. He looked at her again and lowered his head. He slowly looked up and blinked.

Inu Yasha woke smartly from his dream. He had a cold sweat run down his shoulder blades. He looked quickly to Kagome. He found her breathing and well. He saw her chest move in slow rhythm, and her heart beat as well.

Inu Yasha breathed in relief that it was only a dream. As he watched her he promised himself. 'She won't die in the dark, not while I live. She will live in the light.' ~ Rain

You saw her die, you can only wonder

The sky holds all asunder.

Making the light frosty, cold.

Making the darkness keep its hold.

Having a friend, one another.

Having to fight over each other.

Protecting the weak, holding your head,

High and mighty, ounce in bed.

Keep your word, have a care,

Light and Darkness can bring happiness,

and despair.
