"Lexi don't wander off; stay in mommies view…okay" said Mrs. Nunez
"Okay mommy" said Alex as she sat under a tree.
Alex POV
I can't believe I'm going to be six years old tomorrow….I'm sure getting old already….next thing I know I'm going to be just like mommy….and I don't want that….I wish I could build a machine that will let me be little forever……I also wish mommy had money to buy me a present for my birthday but she says she doesn't have money…..that all she can give me is the cookie that she baked for me…..oh well at least she made me something with her love ……
End of Alex POV
"………mmmm cookie" said Alex as she was about to take a bite out of it
"Uhhhhhhhhhhh" said the little girl as she stared at Alex's cookie
Alex couldn't help but stare back at the little girl that was kneeling in front of her.
"……….." The little girl didn't say anything as she stared at Alex's cookie with her mouth open.
"Do you want it…"said Alex as she realized that the little girl stared at her cookie
"YES" said the little girl happily
"…here you go" said Alex as she gave her the cookie
"Thank you………wow…it's so delicious" said the little girl as she took a bite of the cookie
"Really……" asked Alex happily
"Yeah" said the little girl as she smiled at Alex
"Wow…..I guess my mom can really make cookies" said Alex
"You never tasted your mom's cookies" asked the little girl
"No….she never made cookies…until today….."said Alex
"….why" asked the little girl as she noticed Alex becoming sad
"……because tomorrow is my birthday…and the cookie…was my present"
The little girl couldn't help but feel guilty as she realized that she ate Alex's birthday present. She couldn't help but feel that she had to do something to make it up to her.
"Honey it's time to go" yelled the little girl's mother
"Coming mommy" said the little girl
"…..it was nice meeting you" said Alex as she turned to face the little girl
The little girl didn't say anything as she kept staring at Alex. She slowly started to lean in towards Alex's face as she kissed her. "Now you know how your mom's cookies taste like" said the little girl as she smiled towards Alex.
"……….uhhh." said Alex as she blushed
"Got to go" said the little girl as she ran to catch up with her mother.
Alex couldn't help but remain shocked; she didn't even know the little girl's name. All she knew was that she had just tasted the most delicious thing in the world.
End of Flashback:
"It was you….. who gave me my first kiss" said Alex as she lay on her bed
"No it wasn't…me….I don't remember that"
"Yes it was " said Alex
"No it wasn't"
"Yes it was…..and besides…you know it's true because you brought it up first"
"Fine how do you know it was me then"
"Because….. Paige…..every time I kiss you….I still can taste the most delicious thing in the world"
Paige felt her heart melt as she heard this: she slowly leaned in as she kissed Alex on her lips "…I love you" she said
"…..and I love you"
"…..and your right…..I do remember…….."
"I knew it…….."
