After the Collector base
The door of the Captain's quarters opened with a soft hiss and Shepard looked up and smiled as Thane walked in.
„Siha. I have to say I am curious to know why you have called me here." The drell said, reaching her where she sat in the sofa, datapad in hand.
„Do you still want to see a desert?" she asked, smiling up at him and gestured him to sit down.
He gave her a calculated look before returning her smile. "As long as I am with you the place does not matter, Siha. But I sense there is more behind your question."
She tapped the databad to her lips for a moment before leaning her shoulder into his. "I'm turning the Normandy over to the Alliance on Earth. I'm...not sure when exactly but this ship should be in Alliance hands."
He obviously felt her unease and put a hand around her shoulders, encouraging her to go on.
"But I don't know how they will react to the crew or me for that matter. I wouldn't be surprised if they took my Spectre status away and they'd probably send all the non-humans to their own homeworlds. Pretty sure Jack will book it before we land. I could probably get her cleared. She has been getting better with handling those anger issues. The other humans on the crew aren't too fond of the Alliance either so they will hardly stay long wither." She paused again and she was not too pleased with it. Usually relaying information was easy. Matter of fact. No need to stall. But when she was talking to the blessed drell her head became a maze. The fact that he was so darn quiet most of the time didn't help either. "But I've been thinking: I'm still a spectre for the time being and getting clearance to land in Egypt would be a piece of cake. It would also take them some time to report all the way back to England so we'd have some time for sightseeing."
"You've been thinking this through for a while." Thane said and she could hear the amusement in his sub harmonics.
"Yeah." She laughed. In fact she'd been thinking of it since he first mentioned it. Of course she hadn't really expected that both of them would come back from the Collector base but now that they were here she wanted to make the most of it.
