This is my first time trying to write a angsty fanfic, hopefully it's good! I wrote this awhile back but didn't like it and abandoned it, but after re-reading it I thought it was actually pretty nice, so I decided to post it!
In this story, Ronan was still under Kaze'aze's possession.

"Oops... My hand slipped." The indigo knight murmured as he wrenched his sword from a victim's chest. He stared at the bloody corpose in front of him, with a empty look on his face.
The person he had killed was one of the maids working for them, Haruna Noir.
Haruna was the mother of his childhood friend, Harpe Noir. She had white hair and red eyes, as did her son. She was a Netsuma. Although her race was severely persecuted even to this day, that wasn't motive why she had to die. In fact, she has been serving the Erudon family for 21 years now, and they would've killed her a long time ago if that was the case.
Haruna overheard one of the Queen of Darkness's conversations with Ronan and Queen Anyu, and fearing that she would ruin her plans, the sorceress made the knight eliminate her.
"This little accident wasn't your fault, sweet Ronan." The voice in Ronan's mind laughed. "If she hadn't stuck her nose where she doesn't belong, she wouldn't have to die."
Ronan didn't respond, he just threw the blood-stained sword on the floor, admiring what he had done with an empty stare. Soon, he heard footsteps echoing - someone was approaching him - but Ronan already imagined who it was, so he didn't even bother leaving.
"I heard a scream, mom, are you-" The servant stepped in with a concerned tone in his voice, but froze when he saw the scene before his eyes. He covered his mouth and stepped back, shaking. Everything was silent, and the only sound that could be heard were sobs coming from Harpe.
"Hey, Harpe. Listen to me." The indigo knight finally broke the silence. "It was not my fault, you know? It was all her fault." He turned to look at the servant - his eyes glowed in a red light, a difference Harpe had noticed in his master for a while now. Ronan's eyes looked sad, but there was a smile on his face. "You're not mad at me, are you, Harpe?"
Harpe couldn't speak. He tried to open his mouth and vocalize something; although so many words came to his mind, he could not express any of them. He just turned around and ran away, feeling pained.
'What's happening to master Ronan?' The servant thought. It's as if he became a completely different person. Why did Ronan take the life of an innocent maid, furthermore Haruna, who took care of him while his father neglected him? How could Harpe continue serving his master after witnessing that scene?

Some time passed by ever since that incident, and surprisingly, Harpe didn't leave Ronan's side. Sometimes he planned to escape, but he never did it. Harpe sometimes wonderered why? It could be so simple to run away - the servant would never have to worry about Ronan or Kanavan ever again. But something inside him chose to stay at Ronan's side.
Why did Harpe stay, knowing that his master would make him suffer even more, you might ask? The reason was simple. For somewhere in his heart he still believed that Ronan would be back to normal. He would once again be that kind Ronan whom Harpe once knew. So he stayed by his side.
However, even with such devotion and understanding torwards his master, he failed to realize what Ronan had tried to tell him back then.
It was all her fault.
Unfortunately, the servant would only find out what was happening to his master and to the Queen of Kanavan when it was too late.
