Just a short little drabble that's been meanin' ta pop out. And here it is! Hope ya like it!

Byakuya leaned on the doorway of his daughter's room as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. His daughter. His baby girl. He hummed a small hum as her name floated through his mind and he smiled.
Nikkou.
That was her name. It meant "Sunshine" and that's exactly what she was to him: His sunshine.
"Bya-san!" Nikkou said aloud as she was carried out of the bathroom. Apparently, she'd just come from her bath because her black and purple high-lighted hair was soaked. And Yoruichi was also soaked to the bone in her robe with a playful disgruntled look on her face.
Yoruichi rolled her eyes and wiped Nikkou's short hair with a towel, careful not to hurt her in the process. Byakuya's stomach flipped at the tenderness Yoruichi showed to her. The way she dried her hair and the smile she gave the child was almost enough to make him fall to his knees and cry.
"Shut-up, kid. Only I can call him that."
Byakuya smiled at that and retracted that last thought.
Nikkou grinned and let out a small giggle. "Bya-san! Bya-san! Bya-san! Bya-san! By-!" She squealed when the same towel that was used to wipe her hair, lightly hit her face.
Yoruichi huffed in victory and took the towel up again to wipe underneath her eye. "I said 'shut-up'. Only I call him that, you call him 'Papa'. Got it?"
Nikkou grunted and crossed her arms, a small smirk playing at her lips. "No."
Yoruichi's eyebrows rose before she grinned. "Good, that means I've taught you well." She looked back and winked at Byakuya, still leaning on the door frame before turning back to Nikkou. "That way, you can do that to your precious Bya-san. Got it?"
This time, the small child nodded and wrapped her small, chubby arms around her mother's neck, holding her tightly. "I love you, Mama."
Yoruichi smiled softly and hugged her back, rubbing her nose in her soft, wavy hair. "Yeah, kid, I know." She quietly laughed. "Love you, too, kid."
