I never said I'd lie and wait forever, if I died we be together... I can't always just forget her... but she could try...
"Leon!" Ada cried from below. Leon looked down, his hand frimly grasping hers. The dark chasam below seemed to swallow up the figure od the Asian women; but Leon would never let that happen.
"Self-Destruct system has been activated," A robotic female voice said from some miles away. "All personnel please evaucate before total detonation. You have ten minutes to reach minimum safe distance."
Leon knew he couldn't pull Ada up, gravity was working against him. Pulling her deeper down into horrible fate, taking her away from him.
"You have to let go!" Ada cried out after hearing the grim message. "Let me go or you'll die too!"
"I'm not letting you go, Ada," Leon grunted, his injured shoulder still hurt, he was too weak, he ouldn't do a thing but hold on.
Her hand slipped a bit, he clung even harder.
At the end of the world, or the last thing I see, you are never coming home, never coming home, could I? Should I? And all the things you never ever told me and all the smiles that are ever, ever...
"No!" He told her, and himself. 'I'm not 'gonna let you die!"
"You have seven minutes to reach minimum safe distance," The computer voice annuonced. Leon wished it would just shut up. Ada... she was something else... Leon hadn't known her long at all, but Raccoon city seemed millions of miles away right now, Claire seemed miles away, Sherry Birkin seemed millions of miles away. All he could see was Ada...
All he could see was Ada as she let go of his hand.
Ever get the feeling that you're never all alone? And I remember now, at the top of lungs in my arms, she dies! SHE DIES!
Ada looked up at Leon and looked peaceful. She would die as long he got to live. She died for HIM.
But Leon didn't care. "ADA!" He yelled, hopelessly reaching for her, but she was too far down. She was falling.
At the end of the world, or the last thing I see, you are never coming home, never coming home, could I? Should I? And all the things that you never ever told me, and all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me. Never coming home, never coming home, could I? Should I?
Leon didn't want to move, he watched her body slowly slip into the blackness, he couldn't move his eyes away from hers. Time seemed to slow. It felt like his heart was still in her hand.
And all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me for all the ghost that are never gonna catch me...
"Ada," He breathed. He lost sight of her, she was to far down. He slumped against the rail and sobbed.
"Six minutes to reach minimum safe distance."
If I fall...
If I fall...
(Down)
Leon didn't want to move, he didn't care anymore. Ada was dead, his Ada would never be with him. She must've felt something for him... she died for him...
At the end of the world, or the last thing I see, you are never coming home, never coming home...
Never coming home, never coming home...
He had to move, he had to live. Ada wanted him to survive, she died so he would. Her last request... he got up slowly, gave one glance over and then ran. Claire... Claire still needed him.
And all the things that you never ever told me, and all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me... Never coming home, never coming home, could I? Should I?
"You have five minutes to reach minimum safe distance."
"Damn!" he cried. He needed to find Claire. And with that he left Ada behind... But not her memory.
And all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me, for all the ghosts that are never gonna...
