The Piano Girl
"A study in Key's"
Chapter 1
"A study in Key's?" Sherlock asked. What a stupid name.
"Yes." John answered. He seemed slightly irritated. Sherlock always asked questions about his blog.
"What for?" Sherlock further inquired.
"The victims daughter plays piano and they were found dead sitting at the piano." John answered. Sherlock understood and continued his pacing before finally sitting on the couch.
A while later, Mrs. Hudson came in followed by a teenage girl with light ash brown hair who stood in the doorway. "Dears, Raven's here."
"And? Send them home." Sherlock said not noticing who she said it was. Raven flinched. Mrs. Hudson gave a very dissapointed look before shooing Raven in.
"Go along dear. I'll be downstairs." Mrs. Hudson left. Raven stood before moving inside.
"How are you Raven?" John asked.
"Alright, I think."
"Oh, Raven. Hello." Sherlock finally said, he was laying down by now. She sighed.
"I have a serious question. I can't go back to America. I need a place to stay and someone to be my guardian."
John looked at Sherlock before looking back at Raven with a confused look.
"Why us?" He stated. She shruged.
"You are the only people I know here. I am NOT going to an orphange."
Sherlock then butted in to give his two sense. "You only have two years, right? Most kids your age are more then willing to leave their parents." Raven gave a small growl before answering. "Unlike you, Mr. Holmes. I was close to my parents. VERY close."
Sherlock realized his mistake and was quiet. John looked back at Raven (for he was glaring at Sherlock) and smiled. "We would be glad to have you." Sherlock looked over, his mouth open ready to argue. "Sherlock." Was all John had to say before he glared back and shut his mouth. "Do you have your things?" John asked. Raven nodded. John looked at Sherlock. "Alright, we'll discuss further tomorrow, how's that?"
"Sounds good to me."
Sherlock laid on the couch. He was facing everyone but when they walked past to get Raven's things he turned to the wall rather dramatically.
Sherlock was not looking foreward to this. This girl was young and stupid. Why in the world would John allow her to stay?
