Octavia was drinking her coffee that she heard a knock on the door.

She went and opened the door and saw her sister smiling at her. "Hi darling!" Rarity said as she wrapped her hooves around Octavia. Octavia smiled back and hugged her as she said "Why hello to you too little sister." after a few seconds they unwrapped their hooves from each other and Octavia went to make tea for both of them.

After she returned, she put down the tray she was holding and both started to drink tea.

Rarity was the one who started the conversation "So Octy, it's been such a long time that we haven't seen each other. I suppose it's better if I let you speak first and then tell you the big news."

Octavia looked up and asked "Big news?"

Rarity giggled and then said "I'll tell you if you tell me first about your life in Canterlot."

Octavia smiled and talked about her wining an award for the best cello player, her crush on Fancypants and her new PFF Vinyl Scratch.

After that she looked at her little sister and asked "Well? What's the big news?"

Rarity giggled again before showing her older sister her hoof.

Octavia looked at her white hoof and saw a platinum...ring! "OMG! You're getting married!?" she asked as she gasped. Rarity nodded her head excitedly. Octavia hugged Rarity tightly as she cried and said that she's so happy for her. Then she asked "Who's the lucky stallion?" and the white mare replied "Well it's made of platinum. Guess who it is." Octavia thought and then suddenly tears formed in her eyes and she asked "I-Is it F...Fancy...Fancypants?" Rarity quickly replied "Oh heavens no!" Octavia sighed happily. "Is it...captain of the royal guards?" she asked again but Rarity shook her head "But you're close." After a few seconds of thought, she looked at her and asked "Is it Duke Blueblood?" (Since Blueblood is the only male royal in Equestria some call him duke instead of prince.) Rarity jumped up and screamed "YES!"

Octavia screamed and said "I'm so happy for you! Tell me everything!" and then Rarity started explaining every single detail from the moment that they met, till the moment he proposed to her.

After they finished their tea and Octavia took the tray to her kitchen, she came back with a frown on her face.

After Rarity asked her what was wrong she sighed and replied "No offense but...look, I know that you're a great mare and any stallion who gets to marry you is considered the luckiest stallion in Equestria but he's a prince, a duke. And you're just a regular pony...compared to him. Why would he marry you?"

Rarity looked hurt.

She simply said "Well, I suppose I should ask him about that." and stood up to leave.

Suddenly, Octavia rushed towards her and hugged her. "Oh Rarity! I never meant to hurt! Please forgive me!" she exclaimed.

Rarity smiled at her and hugged her "I could never be mad at you darling."

Then they released each other and Rarity left. After she was gone Octavia wondered to herself "But why would he marry her?"
