Tears flowed and mingled with blood…so much blood.

"Please! You must bind with me! It's the only way I can save you!" A teenage girl with long white hair pleaded with the bleeding brunet.

"I…can't…won't…I don't want to. I just can't take it anymore Chami, this world was never made for me." Her voice was week, her light brown eyes slightly glazed. She normally looked to be in her late teens, though at the moment you couldn't tell through the blood.

"Kai…I don't want you to go…Please…what can I do to change your mind?" Chami's voice weakened as she started begging—something she always refused to do. She pulled Kai closer, ignoring the blood that was ruining her clothing.

They had know each other for almost 6 moths now, and Kaira had refused to bond with Chamomile the entire time. Now it was too late, Chami knew, but she still wanted to try—if she could only get Kai to agree!

"Your not going to change my mind Chami…just…promise me something?" Chami leaned her cheek on the brown-stained-red hair.

"Anything…" Not the best thing to say for a tailed fox, a creature that by it's very nature can't go back on their promises.

"Don't let the next child refuse you…find them sooner, when they aren't resigned to their fate…save them like I wouldn't let you save me." A bare whisper, little more than a breath. Chami forced herself to stop crying and started nodding, though she knew it was too late at that point. She wiped the tears from the cooling body, laying her peacefully onto the over-stuffed couch.

"Anything…I'll save the next one or I'll give my life trying…"

That night Kai's blood wasn't the only to be spilt, three more lost their souls to the wrath of an angry vixen, though only she herself knew what happened in that house that night.

Nearly a year later and an ocean away a moon-white fox swiveled her ear picking up noises that its owner knew were farther off than a normal animal would have been able to hear. A delicate nose lifted from forepaws and sniffed the air, picking up blood that was several hundred meters from its current location.

…o.0 Well, I was kinda in a self loathing mood….one of my roommates pissed me off, and well….now Chami has a bit more of a past for you all….
