Comfort

Sasuke walked into the classroom, his hands stuffed into his pockets like usual. What he didn't expect though is when all the students in it seemed to be copying him, the same pose he always did. His eye cast down and he tried to mostly focus on his feet as he made his way to his seat. The raven wasn't quite sure why the all decided to make fun of him but he would try to be the same old stone faced Uchiha he was.

When they didn't seem to get the reaction they wanted they ended up getting bored and went about their day nearly instantaneously. Sasuke was a bit grateful they did stop, that meant he could look around again. He noticed a certain blonde missing, though then again it wasn't that weird that he skipped out on a few classes. But for some reason he felt like Naruto was skipping for more than just skipping.

After they got out Sasuke was quick to avoid any and all people including the fan girls, he just wanted to be alone. He wasn't that worried about Naruto so he quietly made his way down to the docks. This was his place to get his mind off things when his emotions got a little less than bearable, which was a lot more often that he would like to admit. Though it seemed like Naruto was there waiting for him almost like he predicted he would be here.

The idiot was looking at him with a solemn look, almost like he was pitying him. Sasuke glared at him, he really didn't want to deal with this, so he turned away. But a tan hand reached out and stopped him.

"I'm sorry…" it was in a low tone but Sasuke could still just barely hear him.

"What are you going on about…" Naruto had nothing to apologize for, why would he feel the need to say that he would never with Sasuke.

At first it seemed he wasn't going to say anything, but after some hesitation he somewhat looked him in the eyes. "I knew what they were going to do…"

The raven's eyes narrowed and he scowled a bit, that was a surprise to say the least. But it wasn't like they interacted that much so why should he have expected a warning? Sasuke pulled his arm away his heart clenching tightly in his chest, he hated this feeling.

"They invited me to play along with them…" he continued. "But I couldn't….it was just too mean."

Sasuke couldn't find the right words, they all seemed to be stuck in his throat. He was angry, upset and a whole other slew of emotions. All the villagers did was look down at him and treated him like he was nothing but scum. His anguish must have showed on his face since it seemed like Naruto looked even more guilty than before.

"Don't…" he moved away from Naruto's hand, not wanting the contact again.

He still wanted to sound cold, but his voice betrayed him cracking as he spoke. Sasuke probably looked as vulnerable as he felt. The Uchiha wanted to just run away and he would have if Naruto's stubbornness to not let him stopped him.

"Sasuke…" the blonde started but froze, unsure of how he was going to finish.

The Uchiha's eyes widened as the other pulled him into a tight hug. Words couldn't express the feelings Naruto wanted to convey, he knew all too well how it felt to be bullied. It was all he could do to apologize for not saying anything. The more surprising thing was when Sasuke, after some hesitation, decided to return the embrace.
