Note.;;
This is the product of a write off ( random pairings matched with random lyrics for prompting ) with a friend. It was also timed, therefore it probably isn't as good as it should be.
..it's not RikuAnsem in the way you might be thinking. o-O;
KH is not mine.
Riku x Ansem
"Lock the doors, cause I'd like to capture this voice."
"Kingdom Hearts is . . . light!"
Good job, Sora. So you've figured it out.
Now your lifeline, Ansem, is going to get it. Watch him burn like a moth under the flame.
Burn.
You see a dazzling display of fireworks through the crack in the door, and you turn your eyes away before they could soak up all that light and move them to darkness. You're still not used to it. You've been plunged in darkness for so long that you still stray away from the light. Maybe even loathe it like he did. Your teacher. Your captive. All you can do is cower behind the door to Kingdom Hearts, afraid that another beam of light will shoot from it. But instead there's only the darkness that the Heartless are spawned out of, and they're clawing for you. They used to be on your side. It makes you feel a little sad.
He made you this way.
Or did he?
It was your choice initially. You wanted this power, this freedom. But it didn't end up like that. You were completely dependent to the darkness, tied to Ansem with invisible shackles ( or maybe ropes of dark and smoky tendrils like the stuff the Heartless were made out of ) and unable to break free. Or to even let go.
Now you've proven your full use and he's given you up. You've escaped – or have you?
You stare longingly out the door again. Soon Sora will come. Ansem is nothing more than a thousand floating little sunbursts, fireflies that would rather devour you than of dazzle you. You can still hear his agonized voice floating in from outside to the doorway.
"Lights? But why . . ."
You wonder the same thing yourself. Once you thought that all there could be was darkness. It was the supreme ruler, the controller of all destinies. Soon you would manipulate it to greater power, and all for yourself.
Selfish. You were so selfish. ( And you still are. )
Face it; you're hopeless without him.
What will you do on the other side? You're no use there anymore. You never were. That's why you passed over. Because the Islands were a prison. This was . . . but it wasn't, I swear.
You want him back. You want that power again – the dark spot in your heart yearns for it. You want to capture his voice – so dark, deep, and mysterious – within these doors. So you'll at least have something to keep your (in)sanity while you're locked in a void of nothingness with a mouse.
"Fill me with eternal darkness . . ."
Your eyes turn back to the advancing Heartless. They're torn between the inside and the outside. And you hear Sora.
Sora.
Light.
Sora.
Ansem.
Darkness.
Which would you choose again when it all came down to it?
Would you turn against your best friend again?
He blinds me. It hurts.
Was it Sora or Ansem that is blinding you?
Amidst your confusion, you throw your weight against the door with force.
"Sora! Together, we can do this."
You'll help me bring him back, right?
With all these Heartless . . . yes. He must be here somewhere. He's immortal. Darkness is eternal.
So now you'd lock yourself inside where the only thing you truly knew about anymore was: darkness.
You hear your friend's yelp of compliance on the other side. The side where he died.
But he must be in here, somewhere.
I can hear his voice.
He's calling me again.
"Riku."
The darkness' alluring façade always sounds so sweet.
