Chapter 1

Caitlyn sighed, she was free, free to celebrate, to relax, to do nothing - it was summer. Expect she wasn't free to relax instead of spending the summer at the greatest camp in America - Camp Rock. She was going to Pittsburgh to stay with her Grandma. Camp Rock was closed for maintenance and Caitlyn would spend the summer with the OAP's and sixties music instead of rocking out. Don't get me wrong she had no problem with sixties music or old people. She just a had a feeling it was going to be boring.

"Why do I have to come and visit grandma?" asked Caitlyn.

"Because she's your grandma, she wants to see you and I said so. Does that answer all of your questions?" asked Mrs Gellar.

"Yes," grumbled Caitlyn, as she shoved her headphones in her ears as the plane took off.

She didn't want to go see her Grandma. Why? Because she lived in a trailer park, full of old people. Caitlyn didn't have a problem with old people but she did have a problem spending a full summer there.

She was missing out on going to the movies, beach, mall and sleepovers with her friends. Actually she would usually be at Camp Rock but it was closed for maintenance so she was stuck in Pittsburgh with her Grandma, mother and other old people.

She didn't expect any people her age to be there, she expected to just be stuck with a bunch of old aged pensioners. For the most part when they finally arrived at the trailer park it was OAP's.

She didn't know however of the one person her age because when she arrived he was not in her sight but she was in his. She certainly didn't expect her mother to the drop the bomb that she was staying in a hotel in town doing business leaving Caitlyn alone in the trailer park.

"You doing what?" shouted Caitlyn.

"Caitlyn deary don't make a scene," scolded her Grandma.

"No offence Grandma but she's leaving me all alone here," said Caitlyn, a frown on her face and her arms folded. "For six weeks!"

"Judy are you sure it's wise to leave a teenager here for six weeks there's not much to do and us oldies aren't that much company," said her Grandma.

"She's always on the internet, or her phone or some device. There is no internet here unless you've had in installed. She can talk to you, do jobs and something that doesn't involve a screen," said her mother. "I'll see you in six weeks. Phone me if you need anything," she added as she got in her car.

"Why did she leave me here?" asked Caitlyn.

"Because she's not much of a mother Caitlyn. She's a business woman with a child. I think she's hoping I can do some mothering for you," answered her Grandma.

Caitlyn turned to look after her mother's car but could see nothing but dust.

"Now let's go get you settled in I suspect you'll be tired after your journey and want to shower and change before looking around," said her Grandma, as they headed to her trailer.

"Yes," answered Caitlyn.

As they walked along they didn't notice the curly haired boy in the trailer next door staring after them intently wondering if his summer had just got better.
