The year…Well, 1942. The second war of the worlds had finally hit. And it was worst. I was amongst one of the few that managed to escape the concentration camps. I remember it completely, the Allies had hit France after the Axis took it. They only managed to get a few miles in before they were pushed back. In the few miles they made, however, they came across our camp. They raided the camp, and killed every German within, and that when things started getting bad. Tanks had arrived, there were explosions everywhere, it was so loud, I ended up passing out. When I awoke, I was aboard one the British battleships. They said they were taking us back to England where we would be safe…How they were so wrong. When we arrived, everything was fine. A week passed, and everything fine. Then we heard it. A roar. It started to grow in intensity. As I looked up, I saw them. The German planes. They covered they sky. Then, all hell broke loose. Bombs started to drop and people were dying. The attack was so unexpected, there British Militia was nowhere to be seen. I saw my mother, calling my name. Running towards me. I was so stunned, I didn't know what to do. I heard my name, somewhere far in the distance. As I turned towards my mother, It got her. She was gone. Just…Disappeared. The shock wave soon followed, and I was thrown back, and hit my head on something hard. Once again, darkness surrounded me. I prayed so dearly that I was dead. I didn't want to live in this horrible world anymore, I just wanted to get out. I opened my eyes to a bright light, and I thought I was in heaven…I was so wrong, I was in Hell. London was destroyed. It was nothing but ruins. I started to cry. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked over and I saw a British captain. He took me to America who I had learned recently joined the Allies. I was 15 then. When I lost my mother. I now am ready to take on those damned Nazi's to avenge my fallen mother. I don't know why I am writing this. Probably because tomorrow I will most likely die. I have joined the war, and I am ready to fight. The year…Well, 1943…So much has happened in so little time. A lot can change in 1 year…
