"Hardly," Hal insists, eyes dark.
Mello smirks, his tongue flicking out. "It's been that long, huh."
"I'm not like you. There are consequences for me."
"Bit late for that, from what I know."
Hal's cheeks flare red.
"To hell with this self-restraint and composure," Mello grits his teeth, his patience wearing thin. "Tomorrow we might all be dead."
Eye contact is broken, and Mello knows he has won. Hal takes Mello's proffered chocolate, bites off a square, moans.
"Cellulite is fucking common anyway," Mello mutters, licking where Hal has bitten off.
