One Shot
Caitlyn yawned but she wasn't tired she was hot. Not hot as in good looking though her boyfriend Nate would disagree. Hot as in warm, this had to be the warmest day of Camp Rock ever. The air was humid making every movement seem exhausting and her body seem sticky and sweaty just from walking across camp.
Caitlyn was currently lay in the dock her feet dangling into the lake just below and her eyes closed against the bright sunlight.
"Hey," whispered a voice, his voice
Caitlyn opens her eyes to see Nate stood above her blocking out the harsh light of the sun.
"Hey," she whispered
"What ya doing?" asked Nate sitting next to her
"What's it look like I'm doing?" asked Caitlyn
"Nothing," smiled Nate
"That's exactly what I'm doing," she laughed "Arr god it's so hot," she moaned as she raised her body to a sitting position, she turned to Nate and then noticed the mischievous glint in his eyes.
"What are you up to Mr Grey?" she asked.
It was then he pulled a water gun from behind his back.
"No!" she said suddenly standing up and backing away.
She turned and started to run and by the time she got to the centre of camp she was drenched. Then she noticed everyone else was having a water fight. She sneaked off and noticed Nate walk off to talk to Shane and Jason. He wasn't soaked, actually as far as she could tell there wasn't a splash of water on him.
So filling up a bucket, she sneaked up on him and drenched him. He turned firing the water gun and she took off. Nate had to pause to fill up his water gun and chased after her.
He finally caught up with her at their spot and after emptying his water gun. he grabbed her round the waist and twirled her around. Giggling she somehow ended up squashed between Nate and the rock face, not that she minded. Their lips neared each other and then they closed the crucial few inches that would mould them together.
They didn't hear the gasp behind them or see their friends shocked faces and when he was clear to their friends that the couple in front of them weren't going to part for air any time soon. Shane cleared his throat.
Caitlyn and Nate jumped at the noise, smacking their foreheads together.
"What's going on here?" asked Shane.
"Um," mumbled Nate.
"It's pretty obvious," said Mitchie.
"It is?" asked Caitlyn.
"Yeah. You're together," said Mitchie.
"And soaked," said Caitlyn.
"Yeah we're going to go get changed," added Nate.
"Explanation?" asked Mitchie.
"Mitch it's starting to go cold and I'm freezing," said Caitlyn, slipping past their friends.
"We will tell you everything when we have gotten changed," agreed Nate.
The group heard Caitlyn laughing and turned to see Nate has thrown Caitlyn over his shoulder.
Half an hour later the whole group are sat around the camp fire area talking. Caitlyn dressed in leggings, Nate's Shout to be heard top along with his button up red and black shirt and grey hoddie.
She smiled as Nate told their story up until that day. When the group started to talk about random things he looked at her.
She knew as long as they had each other everything would be alright so she snuggled into his side and listened to their friends. She had everything she could want in that moment, friends and her boyfriend - their own weird family.
