April heaved a small sigh as she walked into her room. Training had been long and hard today, now she wanted nothing more, than to fall on her bed and sleep for a hundred years. April had just sat down on the window sill to take off her shoes, when a small tapping sound alerted her to the presence of one of her "honorary brothers" on the fire escape. April turned and opened the curtains to find Raphael standing awkwardly on the other side, he gave a small wave and pointed at the latch, his usual way of requesting entry. Once April had opened the window, Raph stepped in and began pacing, fidgeting with his hands as he did so.

Finally, he turned to April, took a deep breath, and said, "I'm having a bad day." April felt a small smile tug at the corner of her mouth, she knew exactly what Raph was fishing for. April crossed the room, took down her pony tail, and set aside her hair band with a practiced ease, as she plopped down on the foot of her bed. Raph grabbed April's hair brush from the nightstand and situated himself behind the girl.

"Do you want to talk about it?" April offered, as Raph took her hair in his hands. She was always amazed by the feel of the turtles' skin, it was bumpy but, not exactly rough.

"I think, I'd rather listen to music for a while." Raph responded, running the brush through his sister's hair. April picked up her small radio, and tuned in to Raph's favorite station. The two sat quietly for a while, the strokes of the brush matching the soothing rhythm of the music. Raph parted off April's hair into three equal locks, then began twisting the sections into a neat braid. Raph had just tied the ends of the braid together, when a new tune struck up on the radio, it was sweet and slow, but with enough bounce to retain its happy intention.

April hopped off the bed, and took Raph's large hands in her own small pair, she gave him a small tug so that he would stand as well. April started swinging her arms, forcing Raph to do the same, she then stepped back and forth, one foot at a time. Raph smiled as he began to follow her lead, he gently raised one of his muscular over her head, and moved it in a circular motion, causing April to twirl under his hand's gentle guidance. April fanned out from her partner and delicately spun into him, so that her back was against his chest, she crossed her arms to take his other hand. The two stayed in this position, for a few beats before April fanned out again, she and Raph moved towards each other to meet in the middle, and continue their swaying dance.

As the last note rang out, Raph looked April dead in the eye and said, "Don't you dare tell anyone about this."

April grinned up at him and replied, "I won't." Raph gave a small, satisfied nod. "Now," April continued, "how about you tell me what you're so upset about."

Raph stared at the floor for almost a full minute before looking back up at her with a sheepish grin, and admitted, "I can't remember." April giggled at her brother, it was the perfect end to a long day.
