Vaniville Town

I jumped out of his bed with the most excitement I had had in years. 'Todays the day!' He hurries to his wardrobe. It's all there. His blue jacket, red cap, black sunglasses, blue jeans, black boots and even his bag with all his other stuff in. Today was finally the day me and my mum could go and visit my dad who lived in Lumiose. But my hopes were cut short.

"Calem!" His mum shouts "The neighbours are here!" Me and his Mother had just moved from the Unova region to here and they'd arrived late at night so no one new they had arrived. Well that's what I thought. I put on my clothes and went downstairs. On the sofa was my mum and two young girls. All three of them stood up.

One of the girls was wearing a pink t-shirt and a blue mini-skirt. I hated those things, I always thought it was best to be warm rather than stylish. She had her brown hair in two long pony tails. The other girl was dressed more appropriately with a red skirt on and a black sleeveless shirt. Her hair was tied back into a pony tail and she also wore a red felt hat.

"Hey!" The brown haired one said "I'm Shauna and this is my friend Serena!"

"Nice to meet you." Serena said.

"And you," I replied "So what do you want?"

The two looked stunned at his rudeness. "Oh no!" I said hurriedly "I didn't mean to sound rude I swear!"

Serena's expression softened "It's fine, by the way what's your name?"

I rubbed the back of my head realizing he'd forgotten such an important detail. "It's Calem."

"Great now that were all acquainted, lets ask Calem's question nicely, how can we help you?"

"Well one of my dads friends called Professor Sycamore heard that an amazing Ryhorn racer and her son moving into Vaniville town and he wanted to get you to go on a journey for something." Serena explained.

"So everyone who was chosen by the professor is going to meet in Aquacorde Town and us three can get some Pokémon." Shauna added

"Also the professor has this letter for you." Serena handed it over to mum.

"So what are the Pokémon?" I asked

"Well," Serena began "There's Fenniken, a fire type, Froakie, a water type and finally Chespin a grass type"

"Wait," I said "Why were you invited?"

"Serena was invited because her parents are amazing trainers I was because my mums a top co-ordinator from the Sinnoh region!" Shauna explained enthusiastically.

"You said we would meet up with other people though, so what about them?" I asked

"Tierno and Trevor are the other two, Tierno because his parents are top Pokémon Contest winners and Trevor because his dad is a top scientist working for the professor." Serena replied.

"Ok," I said "That makes sense."

"When do you leave then?" My mum asked

"As soon as we can." Serena answers.

"Right," She looks disappointed "Well you've got everything in your bag and if you run into your father tell him I said high."

"Well then we'll be off." Serena says. We started walking towards the door but we didn't get far "Calem." It was my mum. "When you've got your Pokémon come straight home I'll have a present waiting for you. Now go I don't want to keep you any longer."

"Bye mum."

"Bye!" It was Shauna

"It was nice meeting you." Serena waved

And just like that we were off and had taken our first steps towards an amazing adventure.
